The 6-week patch cycle means that sometimes the monthly revenue charts only capture the final week of a new character's banner + 2nd half rerun banner. So even if they do a new character every patch, sometimes monthly revenue doesn't always reflect revenue from the new character (since most banner revenue is heavily frontloaded).
She may not be super loved as a character but she's meta af. She's like the Ineffa of 7.x and people still remember skipping her only to end up wanting her for teams.
Odette is great, cuz she works perfectly even at C0 very cheap unit to recruit into the roster, no extra spending required for long time players, just continue our monthly Welkin Moons and BPs. We waiting to see the Tsaritsa performance come Christmas.
i dont think so, shes quite popular, at least in CN
basically there is a thing called milestone on CN appstore, which is Douyin>Tencent video> QQ Music, CN players tend to get the hours that the game surpass those app on appstore to estimate the earning and the actual ranking of the banner (because those app earning are stable).
surpassing QQ Music is a quite successful banner, surpassing Tencent video is already a big feat, surpassing Douyin is a level belong to Genshin, Arknights, LaDs and HSR only (and maybe Naruto lmao).
That's what happen when you don't totaly forget every other player minus straight white male who loves big boobs shaking on their screen h24.
You have cool dude would just want to play for fun, or thoses who want a cool story, or let's be extra daring female player or queer/gay or children. Instead of catering exclusively to one niche player you (lie about being mixt but that an other story) try to attract every possible customer so you can have money from a lot of people, instead of milking the same customers as all the other dev.
That's just a lie of course hoyo is hoyo so they are as catering to the same players only in zzz or genshin, buuut it's less obvious in genshin.
In tdlr you attract more people, hence have more money, when you don't be to obvious about loving only one kind of customer while hating all the other.

Now that I think about it, its kinda crazy just how much Genshin can pull since they usually release 1 new unit per patch
