and they can tell whatever they want. it just makes not economical sense. since the own Vtubers activelly playing and pulling on the game is the biggest marketing of the game.
ofc they won't tell you if they get free pulls. They need to maintain the illusion. is a fucking idol company. with their own idol game.
they get told what they can and cannot say. i like vtubers too but please dont believe they are any less corporate than a korean idol. is a job and they have bosses.
But they do tell us though. Some of the girls mention they get a monthly allowance from the game devs. It's not enough to do some the crazy rolls some of them have done though. If you watched the streams a lot of them have to cover the screen to buy more gems. You also had someone like Hajime only buy the cheapest one since her iPad account wouldn't let her buy more. Her chat was making fun of her saying she's a baby that has parental control on her account.
The girls have mentioned many times that they're aren't forced to do or say anything. A lot of them say some wild shit and a handful of them have been very critical about the company and management. Calli went on full strike earlier this year because of manngement.
Don't know why people think that Cover controls them like puppets. Yeah they're a corpo, and there's some restrictions but some people see the word Idol and think that they can't cough without approval from higher ups.
Absolutely every statement a corporate vtuber makes was vetted by corporate. Yes, even the rabid horny posting on Twitter is part of the character the actress signed up to play. New talents help develop the concept for the characters (they audition and get hired months before debut), but they are playing a character.
It's wild that people don't understand this. Those contracts are iron clad, there's no way they're allowed to make public statements, in-character as a rep of the company, that aren't vetted by corporate.
They can say they're given free reign all they want - saying that is almost certainly part of the contract too.
When you hear about a vTuber being reprimanded or terminated for "damaging trust" or "harming the image of the company", it means they said shit without permission.
Holy conspiracy theorist. Yes they can, they are not nearly as strict as you imagining. Especially to these normal daily life shit.
Also show me an example of a Hololive vtuber getting reprimanded or terminated for "damaging trust" or "harming the image of the company". Talents did complain about the company on stream multiple times and nothing happened to them.
You clearly don't know shit, so don't act like you do
It must suck to be as jaded as you. This isn't true at all. Sure they have guidelines but they also have plenty of freedom to make their own content and generate their own fanbase.
Then they sure can tell a hell of a lot considering how many complain about the company's management
They spend literal hours on stream, every day, talking. Sometimes up to twelve hours. Many times way into the hours past midnight and into the next morning. Do you really think they have staff whispering in their ears the whole time, and maintain strict adherence to draconian "character" requirements for those tens of thousands of hours that add up over years?
IRL K-idols or even J-idols spend an hour or two every couple days at best speaking to the public in events or a broadcast, in person, with staff fully present. This is not the case with streamers
Don't you go to concerts? Would you say paying for a ticket its as scummy as paying for gacha rolls? You think streamers, or any kind of content creator, gets food on their table by sheer anger alone? How can you not understand the concept of giving money to people to show appreciation for their content and to hope for more? I don't buy physical CDs because I need them, I stream that shit, I do to show support and to ask for more. Gacha players truly are braindead.
these folks just fundamentally do not understand the concept of throwing money at things you enjoy or are passionate about lol
i spend money on gadgets i like, swipe on characters banners i like, buy merch i like, buy albums i like, subscribe to memberships of talents i like, and throw superchats at talents i like. i support the things i like and want to see more of, its as simple as that
If they are in the game and can be spent on, then most likely yes. If they aren't, then no. I can't find the source, but I've heard that talents that were gone before the development and negotiations of the project will sadly receive nothing.
Already spent a few hundred bucks this year on merch for my Oshi and her birthday isn't even here yet. That doesn't include various other Hololive merch I've bought plus going to the EN concert. Us fans know how to spend.
Though I haven't spent anything on the game. My reasoning is, why spend money on the gacha when I can spend money on merch.
They kinda need to do that with the banners since they got 54 girls. Most games with fixed cast (like RevueStarlight) did not start with 54 SSR. Holodori is abit on the intense side but I think people are learning to just ignore gacha until it's the member you want.
The average person complaining has never played a rhythm gacha and even those who have never played PJSK which is probably the only actual competition right now (Our Notes pending). Most of the PJSK players I know have talked about Holodori being a beautiful flower field in comparison for most things.
grandpa is struggling quite a lot considering he had to release 4 summer 5stars to get that revenue, plus anniversary, back in the day it was only 2 summer 5stars,plus anniversary
There are a lot of shops in japan just dedicated to hololive fan merch. I'm not surprised

Yeah it’s here to stay, at least until all the hololive members get their first limited card.
I knew it was going to make bank. I kept saying “rhythm games that have no true powercreep sell entirely off character attachment, and hololive has insane levels of character attachment”
I still didn’t think it would do this well - but that’s because nobody could’ve predicted the insane banner/event pace and ridiculously low income lmao.
I imagine it’s just the launch buff, they’ve been releasing 16 limited gacha units in the span of a month and a half, and the game has no 50/50 with a 200 pity. Even some of the talent themselves are hitting 200 without a single limited unit, so I expect it to either stay or drop because of the crazy rate of limited units where people will only wait and pull for their oshi.

Fgo grandpa still got it 11 years later
Also the hololive game making bank is actually insane to me
