People can get crazy supacha their oshis especially during their birthdays so gacha reaching this high is both surprising and not at the same time
Surprised nijis and the more popular vsinger groups didn't do the rhythm gacha cheatcode, holo took this long too when ages ago people already joking release holo rhythm gacha easy 10m+
niji wouldn't do well with a rhythm gacha, demographic wises it isn't optimal, and they simply have too many livers to really make it workable without quite a few being abandoned/left behind. They'd do better with a LADS style game of their most popular male livers.
Vtuber stans are just that dedicated to their Oshis man, what can I say?

they dropped 3 more events, totaling like 11 new cards in August, including some of the most popular talents. The banner pace has been insane and while it isn’t something I complain about - they are NOT being generous, even for a jp rhythm gacha game. You have had to swipe. And they have been very smart about how to make extra money off low spenders - the battlepass is $12, the pass that doubles all your rewards is like $3, and memberships that give cosmetics and stuff are $2 per talent/character.
So they’ve made 16 limited cards of 54 members in the game - so you can probably expect this to last at least a few more months, too. Perhaps after everyone gets their limited card, spending will slow down.
Lastly, a higher majority of the game’s sales will be mobile vs pc. You can’t do the subscriptions on pc and there’s no benefit to spending on pc, and most people playing are playing the rhythm game on mobile.
I’m very happy about the games success as I love rhythm games and gachas and hololive, I do hope they pay back the community a bit more though.
Yeah I hope they'll fix the gem economy for f2p players because the number of banners & units is insane, even if you have only 1 Oshi, I don't think players would have enough time to save for a spark between 2 alts of their Oshi
