So far still no pvp-worthy results, but I'll wait for anyone to cook up an agendapost lmao

u/Rosha6 9h ago

I feel like everyone was waiting to rip HSR apart (again), but 30M for just Robin put in a pin in that.

u/NewspaperHaunting297 8h ago

I feel like we're moving to a bunch of disgruntled Genshin 2.0 fans who continue to pray for their ex game's downfall.

It's just not happening if the game is majority casuals and if they continue to enjoy the story and characters well there's nothing to be done about that.

3

u/Advendra 4h ago

I think it is more because of the typical Honkai-fans personality. This personality is now killing HSR itself. Classic.

u/saturnian_catboy 8h ago

Real fun HSR PvP will start when Aventurine banner drops, whatever the result (and by fun, I mean miserable)

26

u/Kagari1998 8h ago

The HSR thing is largely an echo chamber.

The people malding are not the game intended audience (anymore) and the paying playerbase are completely fine.

Like the QOLs they add to the game indicates that. As long as they are satisfied with the story, the revenue is actually quite healthy. In fact they are more similar to FGO than other top gacha now, a glorified visual novel.

Lets be real here, No one fking play FGO for the gameplay.

u/Tiamore97 8h ago

Thats not true, figuring out 3t 90++ with my own servants, and beating story bosses have been the reason I enjoyed the game so much.

I just skip the story and watched them on youtube later on with 1.5x speed.

u/___latumi 6h ago

3t 90++ = getting all meta supports. Beating story bosses = getting all meta supports. Beating CQ quest = getting all meta support. Game playwise it's HSR. Fgo has better stages/CQ design.

u/Anxious_Log_8247 5h ago

The paying playerbase are on the verge of getting their rights taken from them

HSR (Robin) actually under performed pretty hard in CN. Robin is a very popular character with strong power creep. In the past this would be a $50 million month but it’s not even $30 million. In CN charts she’d have reached top 2 or top 3 in the past. This time she only reached top 7 with a rapid fall off (7->13->23 in the first 3 days). Right now it’s sitting close to 70 just a week after banner start.

But JP saved her banner. JP is the type not to care about predatory tactics, but I want to emphasize that’s true for pretty much any gacha JP plays since they’re used to it. CN is not & the fall off has been notable.

I'll go:

  • FGO proved that gacha players are masochists. Still financially supporting the most predatory mainstream gacha to ever exist
  • Genshin is still making bucks because they have the biggest playerbase among all gachas. They're being carried by monthly card buyers alone regardless of banner.
  • HSR once again proved that a game catered to working dads with 32 kids and 7 full time jobs will bring in money. What endgame? What powercreep? Just login daily for 5 minutes and pull/spend for the newest units! It's that easy.
  • ZZZ is now on the rollercoaster of 'We're so back' and 'It's all over". I honestly don't know how to predict what's next for it.
  • Wuwa still fumbling with Mengzhou story and also once again releasing a male before a highly anticipated female. RIP Jingran
  • NTE and Endfield now on the spotlight to see which one is a more desirable slop.
  • LADS deserved what they got. Preferrably if they are in the red, but whatever.
  • CZN holding on for dear life. But knowing Smilegate, they aren't the type to hover around Top 10, not even during E7 glory days. Will the upcoming anniversary save it? Stay tuned.
  • Nikke should stop doing collabs altogether and just release their own top tier goon units.

Feel free to add more. Peace and love, no war.

Limbus is chilling. Though the only agenda i can scrape up would be "recent bossfight is un fair"

3

u/Charibdysss 8h ago

i haven't touch limbus for a month and half, i hope el director cook a meal so good for canto10 using this wasteland of a month to prepare.

26

u/MadDog1981 8h ago

I think NTE has won that war so far.

6

u/kyllua16 7h ago

This site only counts mobile revenue no?

9

u/MadDog1981 7h ago

Yes but NTE has also been highly ranked on the PS Store especially in Japan.

3

u/StrawberryFar5675 6h ago

Even if you check PS ranking endfield and NTE revenue there are world's apart. Let's be real after zhuang fangyi and that long dead ass 2nd half killed the momentum.

1

u/Verraise-Mage 7h ago

Yeah, some games have up to >50% of their revenue come from PC players which isn't accounted for.

-8

u/Putrid_Lie_8965 7h ago

shhh people here don't like bringing that up, its mobile or nothing.

11

u/anondum 7h ago

NTE is #2 on ps5 and endfiend is #20 right now so I'm not sure you want to go with that either.

-13

u/Putrid_Lie_8965 7h ago

And? I don't care? I'll still not play AI slop? I'm not stopping people from playing AI slop. People not caring about playing AI slop is not going to make me say good words about it. I'm not earning all that money anyway.

6

u/anondum 7h ago

nice strawman. really great.

0

u/kyllua16 7h ago

funny way to hate tbh 😂, ignoring 95% of their actual revenue and making fun of that 5% 😭

4

u/Ravonaa Wuthering Waves, Zenless Zone Zero 5h ago

I would defo say NTE won the battle. In spite of how low effort I consider it to be, it had a way more succesful launch, has had more content to enjoy and a seemingly liked story

1

u/MadDog1981 5h ago

I think it makes a better first impression. The characters have more personality even if they are anime cliches and the life sim stuff has more appeal.

u/higorga09 1m ago

Urban setting helps too

4

u/1WeekLater 8h ago

Can you make more? this an amazing summary of each game

11

u/Dfswift 8h ago

endfields downfall is so good, fk that gacha system

10

u/happymudkipz 7h ago

ZZZ is now on the rollercoaster of 'We're so back' and 'It's all over". I honestly don't know how to predict what's next for it.

How is it hard to predict? Void hunter banner (like now)? 20-40M.

Regular banner? 8-14M.

2

u/JohnnyDragon21 5h ago

Bruh void hunter sales were never as low as 20m, the least was in the 30m+

Literally only cissia and billy recently were low, the rest were above 10m

u/anondum 3h ago

they are because they are releasing at the end of the month and split. shungus+banyue = 30m+20m. temu elysia+norma+sigrid = 35m+25m.

cissia, promeia, and verina were all below 10

1

u/narium 6h ago

Void hunter banner released last month and the majority of sales are in the first 3 days of the banner based on pulling trends from all 3 modern Hoyo games.

5

u/luciluci5562 5h ago

Sustained revenue > revenue peaks. That applies to every revenue trends out there. Everyone should know that the red shaded area below matters more.

That chart is Remielle's revenue charts for JP iOS. Her rank is #11 in August 1. Sigrid debut in comparison peaked at #19.

1

u/happymudkipz 5h ago

I mean there’s going to be a decent amount of carry over. The banner released just before the start of the month, so the first week is split between two months. We’ve seen this with previous void hunters. Either yixuan or ysg’s first week was split between two months and lo and behold, the second month did better than average.  It’s not like Sigrun is some miracle case.

9

u/lgn5i2060 8h ago

HSR dailies in 5 minutes? GI dailies can be done in seconds if MW is not included.

9

u/Kagari1998 8h ago

Might be anecdotal evidence but my experience is that players are more interested in doing exploration and world quest in Genshin, whereas a huge portion of HSR playerbase is story and gone repeat every update. Like some even opt out of dailies entirely, and just swipe for the character.

6

u/MilesGamerz 8h ago

yeah but only like once every two days, the other day you gotta spend that resin unless you're doing enchantment ores which you'll need to collect crystals anyway

2

u/Budget-Emu-1365 6h ago

Eh, doing domain can go for less than three minutes. Farming crystalfly is easier now, especially in Nod-Krai where they can give you two by capturing one and move even slower than the ordinary crystalfly.

5

u/Kitchen-Resource-676 8h ago

ZZZ is now on the rollercoaster of 'We're so back' and 'It's all over". I honestly don't know how to predict what's next for it.

Idk about that. Patches 2.6-3.1 have been a hit with community so far.
Mostly, it's just random tourists trying to create drama out of nowhere, like that very recent controversy surrounding the departure of one of designers

2

u/Overall_Career1358 7h ago

Its better than early 2.0 fosho, Gotta wait until 3.4/3.5 to judge tho. And for A2 departure people gotta read man he leave on very good term(maybe consulting sometime in the future) and certainly train other artist to fill his role

1

u/JohnnyDragon21 5h ago

Yixuan and jufufu sales were high tho

-2

u/Kitchen-Resource-676 7h ago

And for A2 departure people gotta read man he leave on very good term

You and I both know that, but people who wholeheartedly hate ZZZ and want this game to be dead will make up any excuse to create drama

1

u/Overall_Career1358 7h ago

I mean yeah, tbh i kinda hate zzz at first but then looking at my fiancee playing it, the combat draw me in instantly. Also they added banyue as FG enthusiast gotta grab the him, also fuck promeia she shafted my lion rerun.

2

u/link0O 7h ago

Yeah everything past 2.5 was really good, they've been on a generational run since 2.6

3

u/JuggernautNo2064 7h ago

next month ZZZ will be a massive drop again for sure, until the next void hunter shows up as usual

wuwa next month lmao jigran will be skipped to hell

genshin next month is top up reset so should go up a bit but next unit is mid af

endfield next month will be low aswell cuz new units is a must skip since we just got dps nature arcane before this new unknown nature dps

HSR should die in a ditch but wont

1

u/Training-Cantaloupe3 5h ago

Time for copers positivity response 1. FGO has 1% rates, all main Chinese gacha have less than 1%! Check mate 2. Genshin gives players a reason to roll for older characters because their designs are just peak, it's not just monthly cards 3. The powercreeps has slowed down, if you are a long time player you'll have enough teams to clear end game anyway, only people that don't play the game then cry can't clear in HSR 4. ZZZ is bigger on PC and console than mobile, I wouldn't be surprised if it has already surpassed HSR in revenue, the only thing HSR has over ZZZ is female player base, which is dwindling every month 5. Mengzhou story didn't fumble, people just hate China, Jiyan was before Yinlin, Brant before Cantarella, Qiuyan before Chisa, Luuk before Sigrika, that male before big female character is a ZZZ trait not a wuwa one 6. NTE is slop, but AKE is just too cool and complex for casuals, rather than slop, it's a masterpiece painting only appreciated by a few 7. LADS deserves redemption, women need a win In the gacha space 8. CZN takes way less money to maintain than E7, less work goes into their character animations and they use a lot of AI to help workflows these days 9. Persona is a dead up for gacha, those players don't play gacha

3

u/Public_Tone_8093 4h ago

You managed to get some anger out of me from reading these copes, well done

u/MagneticTomat0 1h ago

I dont even play these games anymore and I STILL got mad reading this, incredible work sir

2

u/Practical-Book8348 7h ago

What you say about FGO only proves that you have never played this FGO, and you don’t even have an idea why people play it and why they like it.

And looking at how games in the HSR style look, where the characters become irrelevant in 2 months, your words become even funnier

4

u/sirbucelotte 5h ago

lol "other game doompost and agenda posting is real and true, keep going, but dont you dare attack my slop, you dont understand it!"

1

u/Practical-Book8348 4h ago

Maybe you could try reading what he wrote before replying to me...?

u/RecentCobbler6260 3h ago

WuWa still fumbling

Nothing new there

0

u/Mizzypeople 7h ago

Endfield will never reach higher numbers than it did during the launch patch and the player base will keep shrinking overtime. The only way that changes is if their playerbase stops defending its flawed half baked gameplay but thats not going to happen anymore because currently only the hivemind players are left in endfield community and no one wants to interact with them anymore.

2

u/d3cmp 8h ago

Its a quiet month with no upsets

4

u/miiko_uch 8h ago

HSR need to go lower for my agenda to work

1

u/Decent-Ad-2755 8h ago

Endfield not pvp worthy? is cut by 30%

1

u/Lilacsskye 8h ago

I mean, hey, the LaDS fandom is so polarized that I'm seeing pvp against themselves.

1

u/ChanceNecessary2455 5h ago

If I were still in Stella Sora discord server, I would be guaranteed to see agenda cooking especially that dude that always brings up CZN lmao. Alas, the server and subreddit banned revenue talks so hopefully he stopped the tribalistic attitude.
