Post Op Was this really worth it? I regret having this surgery immensely
Hi,
I had my surgery on Tuesday the 25th of August a day after I got into the hospital on the 24th of August. They seemed pretty urgent about the procedure being done so I listened as I thought it would be beneficial for me. Although, safe to say . . This has been nothing short of a nightmare for me for the about week I’ve been post op. I haven’t eaten nearly a thing since I got into the hospital on the 24th, I’ve eaten around under 1.5k calories since then. I have ARFID and can’t handle the bland foods they want me to eat whatsoever and all it does is make me gag and choke. And the nausea I’m having is 10x worse than before I got my gallbladder out, I’ve been having to rake 2-3 of my anti emetic medication because it’s been causing so much nausea and there’s brief periods I’m not having nausea but even when that happens I can’t eat because of the fear of puking from it, because even after eating 5 saltines I felt like I was going to projectile vomit quite literally everywhere. I literally have no idea how to get food down and I don’t want to keep starving myself because I quite literally have been continuously like rapidly losing weight from this. My sleep schedule was also completely ruined and I can hardly get any sleep now. Does it get any better? PLEASE tell me it gets better from here because this is a nightmare and I’ve never regretted something more in my life.
