I mean I have one in truck driving. The computer parts and dildos must be delivered. On time, every time.

They'll get it to work. But they'll need to run specialty roads to their destinations, to reduce problems. And they'll make them out of different materials so that they are more efficient, and then they'll make them longer because they aren't constrained by vehicle length anymore...

So there was an interesting development in self driving technology in regards to Tesla. There was a lawsuit in Texas which found Tesla 60ish percent liable in a crash that resulted in a fatality. The other percentage was with the driver, which makes sense as the though process behind it is that the driver would stop the car if the self driving mode went haywire. Most trucking companies I know that want self driving trucks don't even want a driver in the truck at all.

There will always be a need for drivers. There is no way in hell a driverless truck is going to be able to blind side backup down an alley in midtown Manhattan. The most you will see is driverless from terminal to terminal or DC to DC. By the time trucks get passed that point I will be well out of the industry.
