I also preferred the III/AA space when I worked in games.
True indie is just filled with con artists. Cheats, liars, and scammers who promise the moon but deliver nothing. Reddit portrays indie like it is some haven, but I have never seen more shitbags, but specifically unethical/immoral shitbags, than I did in true indie.
And let’s not even talk about Kickstarter projects. Might as well come with the label ”I’m going to fuck over my employees and my backers and steal from the company’s treasury!” tattoo’d on their forehead like a fucking Scarlet letter. A gigantic green “S” for shitbag.
