[Discuss] Wasted potential
We just had a arc where a character dresses up as a black person to throw off suspension from his mass shooting and then we get actaul black people
I dont even need all of them to survive if 1 of them survives it would make him want to avenge the others by killing the vampires and the drama with izumi couldve been great and also highlight japans xenophobia with his legal troubles
The real qustion is why would this get scrapped

I was always sad these guys died because them embracing Kurono like that is one of the moments that really helped change him for the better.

There are a lot of characters where it’s a shame they get killed off so fast. Although that’s always gonna be a problem with a “kill them all” series, sometimes the likable characters get killed off very fast to make you feel awful

All of his work is like this. I love Gantz, but Gantz and all of his work has so much wasted potential or less interesting directions. He comes up with so many cool concepts, but his execution is everywhere. Even in Giganta he would bring up stuff then it's just gone forever and goes nowhere.

Tu sabes la razón.
Es una pena porque estás caracteres fueron geniales y quiero ver más de estos, especialmente la relación entre kurono

Let me jump into this too! Yeah, it really wastes opportunity. The Tokyo team will grow even stronger with them fully joining the battle. Not much they can do at first without knowing anything. Same goes with Kurono on his first mission. Now with Kurono himself, he knows most of the stuff about Gantz and grow. Imagine how these guys are able to contribute. Like feat with Daizaemon or something. Heck, even Rekka and Suzuki are able to do something. And to be fair, I think there are many more wasted opportunities in the series, and that kinda ticks me off.

Remember when this chapter first came out (one of the first I read new as I had finally caught up) and my one friend in our unofficial college manga club was all "was that the Wu-Tang Clan?"

Yeah was hoping one would survive at least, and then get telported back to tokyo after going home thinking that would keep him safe or something then dying.
Like how id all three of them die in the first place?
