Piano on campus?
Hey I'm a first year looking for a piano to play on. Does anyone know where I can find a public piano to practice on? Thanks in advance

Does anyone know if you're allowed to volunteer at a private business (ie: private childcare) for required volunteer hours in a class?

I know you need special permission to enroll in more classes than usual. I am not planning to do that at all, but I am curious, if they all fit within your schedule, what happens if you just enroll in 7 classes?

Hello,
Long story short, I'm a Carleton student with a French language requirement that now must do their requirement through UOttawa (Carleton cut their French department). I have been asked to take FLS 2511 and 2512. On the UOttawa website, I read their course descriptions, tried to find their course outlines/syllabi, and what days/times they are offered for the upcoming academic year. I have looked online and called the UOttawa french department to no avail. I cannot find copies of the course syllabi or dates/times of their offerings anywhere. Would someone on here happen to have a copy of this year or last years course syllabi and dates/times for this academic year?

I'm just wondering if anyone else is confused by the fact that his syllabus schedule says there isn't a lab until October, but then his Lab session information post on Brightspace implies it is every Wednesday. For my schedule, it would also mean a lab before any lecture time. Should I just email him? I'm worried that lots of people will be emailing him about it, and I don't want to overwhelm his inbox even more. (Especially considering he says in his own syllabus that he only checks his email once a day?????)

Has anyone taken this course? The prof is Helen Abbot. I can't find any reviews online, so not sure what to expect...
Thanks!

I’ve tried taking a picture directly on the app with a plain background like 50 times (I have nothing crazy on just normal)
I’ve tried uploading pictures instead
I’ve tried sending the photos to my computer to see if it works better uploading that way.
I’m getting so frustrated it just shows error 400 every single damn time.
What do I do?

I'm an incoming second year in Socio-Anthro, and I started with transfer credits from 2 years in CEGEP. I applied with Co-Op and got admitted into the program with Co-Op. Last year I tried applying officially through the platform on UoZone, but got refused specifically because I was missing three prequisite courses and wasn't following the needed course sequence (no other reason was stated). Since then I've passed two of the courses in question, and I'm starting the last one this semester; will I be able to reapply this fall, or should I contact my faculty and/or CO-OP to see what's up?
EDIT: For clarification, the prereqs are all second year courses. I wasn't made aware that I need specific courses to be eligible to start applying on the platform beforehand. I finished off all my mandatory intro ones in my first semester and will be doing third year courses in the spring. Thanks to my transfer credits I have enough now to be considered a third year as of Spring 2026.

Hello everyone, does anyone know anything about Waleed Shahid? I have him for DVM 1100, and he doesn't show up on Rate My Prof. If anyone knows anything, for example, if they are a good/bad prof, a hard marker, etc, please lmk. Thanks in advance :)

Doesn't seem like there's any way to opt out and this program is advertised as being fully remote. Honestly just looking to vent because as someone who lives in Manitoba and has been to Ottawa exactly once in my life I obviously am never going to use the university gym, or the $32/semester "grad house" (whatever that is).
ALSO how is there apparently no way to have a student card mailed to me? I want to use it to get discounts at museums.

I’m taking 6 courses this semester. Only 2 of them are on the hard side (orgo 2 and orgo 2 lab) but I’m wondering if it’s possible to get As in all my classes this semester?
I’m graduating right after but I’m really struggling and want to raise my CGPA a number higher if not more. Any advice? Just on how to study how to not get burnt out and how to enjoy life as well without feeling like mush everyday. I’m one of those people who self studies everything because I often fall asleep in class or don’t pay attention because I’m tired or unmotivated to be there 😵💫
I’m also just so alone 🤧 and don’t interact with anyone anymore because of certain circumstances and paranoia 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Hey! I'm a first year accounting student looking for clubs to join. I'd prefer clubs that are related to my major but I'm open to almost any.
I'll make it my priority and try my best to attend every club meeting and event!! Just to let you know I'm black and a woman, if there are any open clubs specific to that maybe?

I am an incoming first year and I’m moving in next weekend, I’m talking about the Henderson residence in particular. I have a 5 day meal plan and I’ll need to be making my own food or ordering takeout for weekends.
If I put stuff like leftover takeout, prepackaged food like grocery store pasta salads, or frozen chicken nuggets into the freezer, would those get stolen? Or what about stuff like a carton of eggs, milk, raw beef, onions or potatoes? If things do get stolen from the fridge, what are typical things that get stolen? Is it worthwhile to just get my own fridge in my dorm?
