Nursing

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking about applying to the nursing program in fall and was wondering what my chances of getting accepted might be.

I have A’s in all of my prerequisites and co-requisites except for BIO 141 and ENG 111, where I earned B’s. I also scored a 90% on the TEAS exam.

For those who have been accepted recently or know how competitive the program is, do you think I have a good shot? I’d appreciate any feedback or experiences you can share.

Thanks!

I had all A’s and scored an 88% on the TEAS, got waitlisted and didn’t get in. They don’t care about your TEAS score, just that you passed. It doesn’t make you more competitive than someone who scored a 50%. Just read prior posts about nursing on this Sub

Did the college ever tell you why you got waitlisted or not accepted? I’m surprised because having all A’s and an 88% TEAS score seems like a really strong application. Was there anything specific they said that made your application less competitive?

No they did not say anything other than waitlisted and then that I did not get in. The TEAS does not make you more competitive which I didn’t know when I applied. They apparently don’t care about your score, just that you passed it. 2 months after being waitlisted I got the denial

I had all As and one B and did pretty terrible on my teas and got in during fall semester i think less ppl apply then the spring but at the same time my friend had all As and 4.0 GPA and got an amazing teas score and got denied. So im not 100% sure what they are looking for.
