ANNOUNCEMENT Sub Rules Have Been Updated - PLEASE READ THEM

Based on the last 3 weeks it is apparant that the sub rules needed updating.

To say that the last few weeks have been tough to keep under control is an understatement. We have had 12.5 MILLION views in the last 30 days (up by 9 MILLION on the previous 30 days), and the political rants and discussion after the Bob Vylan drama has been incredibly difficult to moderate while still allowing as much free speech as possible.

We have 3 new rules:

- On topic posts only - (Any posts that are off-topic or have no direct connection to the Glastonbury Festival will be removed. This includes unrelated political posts, meta posts, messages to the mods etc.)

- Keep discussion civil / No Harassment - (Discuss the topic, not other users. Be respectful, even in disagreement. Posting personal info of others including social media links is disallowed. Racism, bigotry, or other prejudice will result in user removal.)

- No Reposts or frequently posted topics - (Reposts and frequently posted topics will be removed, please try the community search feature.)

- Alanis is still there, as a legacy rule for those who lived through it. It will not be enforced.

Please review them, and report anything that needs attention.

Thank you for helping this community to grow. If you have any suggestions or feedback on the rules, please send a ModMail.

Hot Take One of the most Iconic moments at Glastonbury and for Jay-Z in the UK I hope he references it at his London shows this weekend

Noel Gallagher from Oasis basically said that Hip Hop didn't belong at Glastonbury because it wasn't guitar music. So Jay-Z started his set like this ...

Rumour HDD claiming Harry Styles, Robbie Williams & Oasis may be the headliners…

Take this with a grain of salt, although HDD are known to get some insider knowledge and have revealed Coachella headliners ahead of time in the past.

According to this, it’s going to be Harry Styles, Robbie Williams and Oasis.

I can’t really see it happening. I get the whole ‘British trio’ angle but 3 acts all being male and white just doesn’t seem realistic. It already happened in 2023 and people didn’t react well. Also, no offence but who’s asking for Robbie as a headliner in 2027… Teatime slot maybe?

The Slane Castle show is on the Saturday of the Glastonbury 2027 festival. That means they could still headline Glastonbury on a different day. But you still have to choose whether you want to go to Glastonbury or to Slane Castle in Ireland.

Question headliners rock

Question Taking a 10-year-old to Glasto? (If lucky enough to get tickets)🌻

Went to Glasto for the first time last year with my hubby and absolutely loved it. If we’re lucky enough to get tickets next time, we’re thinking of bringing our 10-year-old.

I know loads of people bring kids, but would love to hear from anyone who’s taken one around that age. Anything we should be aware of or wish you’d known beforehand?

Family camping vs campervan also - would love your thoughts!

Hot Take Fontaines D.C. are ready!!!

Fontaines are so ready to headline the Friday night on the Pyramid next year.

They would put on such an amazing show with so many bangers: I Love You, Jackie Down The Line, Boys In The Better Land, Starburster, Favourite.

And they have got their new album coming out this year and then a UK & Europe Arena tour.

They would put on such an amazing show. Like they have just done at Reading last night.

Question Glastonbury hopeful from Australia here. Anyone else in Australia going to be trying for tickets? Would you be keen to group up to increase our chances?

Hi all! Pretty much the title. If you're also in Australia and are also going to be trying for tickets, let me know if you'd be keen to form a syndicate. Anything to max our chances!

Question Graphic Designer Wanted - Glastonbury Poster Prediction Project

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi,

I am 6 months into building a website which predicts the glastonbury headliners, i won't go into the nitty gritty of how it works until I can post it here once its finished (might never be finished but once its presentable!)

The website/model is all ~ready to go, however, I am currently using a very ai sloppy 'Glastonbury poster' and im looking for someone to create one so I can use it on the website. Of course we cannot infringe on the copyright Glastonbury has for there logo's etc.

I have attached my current poster design for reference.

Please get in contact with me if this is something you are interested in helping me with - I have been working on this project for so so long and I can't wait to release it properly. You will of course be credited on the site and would look great to add to anyones portfolio!

Hope this is okay to post here. TIA

EDIT: You of course would be paid for your work as well as credited + Please don't contact me if you've never experienced Glastonbury festival before

Question Group of 6 looking for other groups of 6?

Hey! We’ve already got a full group of 6 for Glastonbury tickets, but looking to join a bigger spreadsheet/syndicate with other groups of 6 to increase our chances!

If anyone has space for another group of 6, hmu!

Recommendations Festival suggestions

Not sure if this is allowed in this sub as it’s not strictly about Glasto, but I imagine many people here will have tried various festivals.

Have done Glasto 3 times and Boomtown 8 times. Will be trying for Glasto tickets as always but if I don’t get them I’ll potentially be looking for something new to try. Into all kinds of music both live and electronic. Love the transition from day to night when things ramp up and get a bit wilder.

Shortlisted so far:

Houghton
Lost Village
Shambala
We Out Here
Beatherder
Green Man

Which of these would people recommend? Any others worth checking out? Thanks!

Recommendations Accommodation recommendations 2027

Finally getting round to doing Glastonbury!
If I’m lucky enough to get a ticket, what are the Glasto regulars saying when it comes to accommodation?

I’ll be flying solo, so ideally looking for somewhere that’s not miles away from the festival, with decent showers and electric/charging facilities.

Happy to consider camping, pre-pitched tents, glamping etc Just keen to hear recommendations (or places to avoid!)
from people who’ve done it before.

Any advice for a first-timer would be massively appreciated!

went for a walk on the farm on Sunday... very eerie feeling as a glasto vet who's been 10 times... weird to be in familiar places with nobody around and just the traces of the festival to trigger visceral memories.. half of the site is fenced off though including the stone circle and pyramid stage area, but the other stage and park stage fields, as well as the woods areas, are fully accessible... couldn't walk along the railway line towards shangri-la but ..hope you enjoy my pictures.

Question Ticket application - family van

Used to go to Glastonbury as a kid when we stayed in parents van in the 'family van' (possibly just 'van') site.

With the modern ticket system what would we do to try to do this now? Book standard tickets then get a van add on (when/how?) or something different.

Also we're x2 adults hoping to go with x2 kids (7 and 1 year old). When I was a kid you could just rock up with as many kids as your parents could fit in the van. Is it different now?
