Post-Match Discussion r/GlobalOffensive's Post-Match Team Looking For New Members

Hello readers,

r/GlobalOffensive's Post-Match Team (PMT) is seeking new members to assist with their operation.

For those not aware, the post-match threads that you see on the sub are authored by a team of volunteers whose uniformly formatted posts are prioritized as "official", in lieu of any other sufficient threads.

A few important notes:

  • The PMT is not directly affiliated with the moderation team. We (mods) do communicate with them and assign PMT flairs to their members, but none of them have moderator permissions or influence on the subreddit, and likewise, no moderators are a member of their team.

  • r/GlobalOffensive typically does not advertise or "sticky" user posts, but is making an exception in this case due to being directly relevant to maintaining an important operation on the subreddit that has stood for over a decade.

  • There are guidelines in the subreddit's wiki that detail the formatting requirements and general regulations for post-match threads. There have been occasions where standard users have posted post-match threads that have remained up, but only when the PMT does not post and the requirements are adhered to.

Report Cheaters:

  • Report cheaters using the in-game report system by right-clicking their name on the scoreboard, and clicking "report". If the game is over, report their Steam Community profile.
  • If you notice certain trends or have other feedback, you can email the developers using the email address above.
  • To report a specific cheat, follow these steps to notify the VAC development team.

While we encourage discussion about these topics, as a reminder, the following are not allowed. Note this isn't an exhaustive list, and you should review the r/GlobalOffensive Rules before commenting.

  • Accusations towards any player related to cheating
  • Posting profiles of alleged cheaters (if posting pictures of matches, redact any usernames)
  • Posting any cheating gameplay footage

This weekly discussion thread does not change any of our existing submission rules - you're still allowed to discuss these topics elsewhere on the subreddit as usual, but we do remove a large number of them as they quickly become repetitive and the majority have little meaningful discussion. If you decide to make a separate post instead of utilizing this thread, we encourage you to focus on starting meaningful discussion or providing constructive criticism.

Help Lost 10k Rating Overnight

Has anyone else experienced this? I won 50% of my placement games and queued with people around 20k, none of which had any trust factor issues, suddenly I get my rank and its 10k rating lower, when none of my friends had similar issues. I did my placement within a week of the season starting

Discussion | Esports DeadFox played the most despicable positions

8 years ago Hungarian player DeadFox, while explaining his bottomfragger stats, stated:

[..] If it wasn't for me, the team would have fallen apart, no one can do what I do, I play the most despicable positions, I die first a lot of times so I can get traded [..]

And got eternally ridiculed for that. Especially the "despicable positions" turned into a running gag.

Now, in 2026, Luz looked into the old seasons. Parsed 2018 demos. And it turns out the guy was right. He played the worst possible role. Straight at the bottom of the scale. On every map. As far as this analysis has been run, no one has even tried playing so handicapped.

Discussion | Esports What do you guys think about this team? Is the old NA CS elite back for one last dance?

Just came across this roster on HLTV and honestly, seeing all these old NA names together again is pretty wild.

Stewie2K, autimatic, Brehze and CeRq are all names that had some really great moments in NA CS, so I’m genuinely happy to see them giving it another shot.

Obviously, this is nowhere near the level these guys were at during their prime, but I’m curious to see how they perform together and whether they can still make some noise in the current NA scene.

I could see them benefiting from having a really experienced IGL and maybe making a few changes depending on how the roles work out.

Do you guys think this is just a nostalgia project, or could they actually surprise people?
