Feedback One more try

I’ve been reading up on the history of gloving and watching some of your videos, and I have to say I’m pretty intrigued with the whole thing
It seems like it’s a birth child of liquid dancing, and the white glove liquid dancers from the 90s but it’s evolved so much… That I don’t really know how to do it if that makes sense
i’m going to buy the actual gloves with the LED lights when I get home next week on Tuesday from work… So I won’t post again I’m not gonna spam you guys but I’m generally interested in your culture and community
I think with a little practice, I could get the hang of it.
my biggest problem is that I naturally wanna tut and wave and move my fingers away from my body, but isn’t the whole point of this to keep your fingertips facing forward so the lights can be seen… Please forgive my ignorance. I’m really trying to learn.

You can absolutely incorporate other forms of dance into gloving. We borrow a lot of concepts or get inspired by other dance styles. The lights should be bright enough or make trails to highlight those movements.
Gloving does have more specific focal point giving a personal show to someone’s face/camera most of the time. But you can add variation to a certain degree just like what you’re doing here.
Practice intentional speed control around influential sounds you want to express. Start slow and ramp up into a big sound with big movement, on beat. Showcase how slow you can get immediately after just as the music calls for it. A lot of people go all fast or all slow and it’s more about showcasing the ability to control both to express energy.
Positioning can also make a big difference Ex: doing a finger roll far away has less impact than that same roll taking up the perspective of the screen. Feel free to move in close, then back out and hit some dance moves and get comfortable switching between the two.
Musicality over everything. The moves can be simple and still go hard if it embodies the music. What would that sound look like if it was controlling me?
Keep it up man! It makes me happy to see people still getting into this. Excited to see what you do with lights too

It's easier to want to do more light related stuff when you have lights. You will always want to do more full body damce without them. You have a lot of dance talent and skill and gloving is just dance so you will do fine. Love it.

You got hella moves and you got the flow - especially when it comes to gloving, slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
It definitely helps to understand a light show recipient's vision and "view-box" to help ensure you can keep your efforts targeted in specific spaces. Experience and practice, as with all things! Keep it up!
You would also LOVE the style called "Conjuring" as it incorporates many more of the stylistic elements of sleight of hand and illusion than simply well-choreographed and smooth flow in moves. I find conjurers are often the most creative and immersive glovers out there, but that's just me.
Then there's impacting, which is where you want to DEFEAT the viewer lmfao.
