My imagination of what the two of them would look like at 27.

Just love that Ford, a genius voiced by the incomparable J.K. Simmons to give him a sense of gravitas and authority, canonically has the absolute shittiest drunk girl tattoos ever, and they're as high up as his neck. I mean, just look at this nonsense. I get that the "Flirty Gal" tramp stamp is Bill running roughshod in his body, but he presumably got that all star tattoo of his own volition while not under Bill's influence. Like, I have to know; is this considered a badass tattoo among the octopus-armed warrior piglets? Did he get black out drunk and channel his inner Mabel or was it perhaps a cover-up of a different yellow-triangle tattoo?

...Did he lose a bet?

Ford, Babygirl, you and I both know you don't have to live like this. I know you know laser removal exists (as evidenced by your note under the "Flirty Gal" tattoo). At this point, having that on your body is an active choice you're making every day, and choosing the turtleneck over a permanent solution just tells me that you actually like the tattoo. So do yourself a favor, ditch the self-consciousness, and buy a T-shirt so you don't risk heat stroke every summer. Show them you're an all star!

Ever think about how differently the portal scene would have gone if Grunkle Stan didn't fight off the pterodactyl? If he had let it eat Waddles like he planned to, then his relationship with Mabel would have suffered, and she may not have trusted him as much when it really counted.

Like, was someone sowing the seeds for Dipcifica early, because this is an otherwise throwaway scene that didn’t need to include Pacifica. It’s subtle enough to overlook, but incredibly interesting in hindsight. Extra funny because neither Dipper or Pacifica even notice each other. I know the crew was a fan of Dipcifica, but has anyone commented how early they started being fans of it? Did someone put these little moments in knowing where they wanted to take Dipcifica? Or was this just a coincidence?

Dipper was insecure about not being able to get a girlfriend, he couldn't get any average girl, but he did almost manage to get someone much cooler than average (who kept being his friend), and finally peaced out and got a rich girlfriend,. Both much better than the average that were there! This proves that Dipper has an Aura and that there are also great main characters in GF.

I binged the whole series a couple summers ago, so I watched this episode back-to-back with the Ford-heavy episodes surrounding it, and I tell you, I did not mind it. I saw it as a cute “one last ‘normal’ adventure before shit gets real” type filler episode. Of course, all criticism is valid, but I’d still like to address the biggest points I’ve seen against this episode.

“Dipper should be moved on from Wendy by now, his feelings for her are redundant.” As someone who was once a 12 year old boy, it is completely normal to STILL be stuck on “that same girl” you claimed to be moved on from. Plus, I think it was a nice reminder for Dipper to have right before a fake Wendy tried to trick him.

“Dipper has a better moral compass than this, his behavior was completely out of character leading girls on like that.” This is a coming of age story. These kids are about to start puberty if they haven’t already. Nothing in this episode was “out of character” for Dipper. He was served poor advice, and while thinking it was OK, learned the hard way it was not and suffered the consequences of his actions.

“It broke the pacing of the season and should have been put earlier in the series.” Like I said, I saw it as a nice break from the tension. That seemed to apply as an in-universe explanation as well. Journal 3 says that this was a road trip they’d been planning for months, and this was basically their last chance to take it. If there was an impending threat, wouldn’t you want to do the things you’ve always wanted to do before you have to hunker down in a glorified bunker for who knows how long?

Was this one of the best episodes? Of course not. Could it have given more explanation for its placement in the series? Probably. Does any of this make it a BAD episode, deserving of so much hate? I don’t think so at all.

Oh wow... You know what? I've been thinking about creating my own Dipcifica Revers Falls AU fanfic for quite some time now. And... Well, let's just say that after watching several videos lately of the series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" (especially this one of HER: https://youtu.be/pu9STWZFp24), it occurred to me that if this series existed in the Revers Falls universe, at least my version of Dipper Revers (Dipper Gleeful) would be a huge fan. Especially of Zuko, who would be his favorite character, since he would see himself reflected in him (because, to clarify, in my version of this AU, Dipper/Mason is despised and neglected by his family, even though Will was the one who raised him from birth, and so even though he doesn't say it, the truth is that he loves and appreciates him very much). Dipper isn't actually bad, unlike his family. He only misbehaves because he wants their love, affection, attention, and approval. That's why he acts like his sister, since they're always comparing him to her. Doesn't that sound familiar? In fact, his favorite Zuko quote is, "My dad says my sister was born lucky, and I was lucky to be born," because he feels exactly the same way about his sister. His parents and great-uncles Stan and Ford often tell him, "Your sister is perfect and the young heiress we always wanted. You're nothing more than a mistake that came along with her."

Obviously, all that would change after certain events (which would make him start to take an interest in Pacifica and eventually fall in love with her), but I don't know, I find this idea very interesting >w<.

Oh yeah, I should also clarify that in my version, Dipper would ship Zutara to death, and yes, he was outraged when Aang and Katara ended up together at the end of the series 🤣😅. But hey, to make up for it, he started drawing Zutara fan art (because even though nobody knows it, he likes to draw and he's really good at it) and started uploading them online (anonymously, of course) ;3.

Pacífica (Pacífica Southwest, who's a hippie girl who loves the paranormal and the strange) is also a fan of the series, as is her friend Gideon Pines. The difference is that while Gideon ships Katang, Pacifica, on the contrary, ships Zutara. And yes, she was also upset when Katang became canon at the end of the series 🤣😂😅. That's why Gideon and she often argue, although it doesn't ruin their friendship, it does cause them to disagree quite a bit. And of course, in their debates about both ships, Pacifica usually drops the gem: "Come on, Gideon, you have to admit that Aang and Katara's relationship is like that of a mother and son or an older sister and younger brother—it's the chemistry between those characters." She frowns. "And don't tell me Zuko has Mai, because those two are awful together. They're a toxic couple with no chemistry." She sighs. "On the other hand, Zuko and Katara have such a natural and organic chemistry that it's impossible not to ship them. Besides, the parallels between them and their differences are so magnetic." Oh yeah, and Pacifica also writes Zutara fanfics that she uploads to the internet and follows Dipper's fanart account without knowing it's him 😉😏🔥. But... Dipper also follows Pacifica's fanfic account without knowing it's her 😉😏🔥.

And Mabel... Well, Mabel has only seen a few scenes of Azula online. According to her, "Azula is the only one worth it, just like her." In other words, Mabel only appreciates Azula for being "perfect" and beautiful like her. Ugh... If only she knew how the character's story ends 😅😂🤣. Oh yeah, I should also clarify that Mabel is obsessed with Gideon, and yes, she's the leader of her little group of "friends" (Candy and Grenda). And yes, Mabel even lied to Gideon, saying she's also a big fan of the show, just to get closer to him, even though Pacifica doesn't trust her at all. She knows perfectly well how crazy the brunette is.

Anyway, back to Dipper. Besides fan art, Zutara draws a lot of other things, but... Well, one day, after the events with the ghost in his family's mansion (you know, what happened in the Gravity Falls Season 2 episode "Northwest Mansion Mystery," but in reverse, of course), he was doodling in his notebook whatever came to mind, and... Well, without realizing it, he ended up drawing Pacifica wearing the beautiful dress she'd borrowed that day 😏🔥. Obviously, when he realized, he turned bright red and immediately closed the notebook, trying to play dumb 🤣. The funny thing is that weeks later, without even noticing, he ended up drawing Pacifica and himself as Katara and Zuko 🤣 (you know, Pacifica as Katara and him as Zuko). Yeah, by this point, Dipper was already falling for a certain blonde hippie with a strong personality, endless curiosity, and a heart of gold 😏🔥.

Oh yes, I should clarify that in this AU, Dipper, Mabel, and Pacifica are already 15 years old, while Gideon is 13.

I should also clarify that Dipper has been a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender since he was 7, and yes, Zuko has always been his favorite character, with Uncle Iroh being his second favorite (he'll never admit it out loud, but he sees Will as his own Uncle Iroh, since, as I said before, Iroh was the one who raised him, cared for him, and nurtured him from birth, and was also the only one in that house who gave him genuine affection, attention, and care). And of course, of the female characters in the series, Katara is definitely his favorite ;3. On the other hand, Pacifica has been a fan of Avatar since she was 9, and her favorite character is Katara, and Gideon... well, he only discovered it last year, when he was 12 😅.

Oh, and just so you know, a small physical detail about the twins is that they both have freckles on their faces, but they both cover them with makeup (you know, to disguise those physical "flaws," always trying to look perfect), although Dipper does this mostly because his family makes him, since he actually likes his freckles and his birthmark on his forehead.

I don't know, I like this idea >w<.
