A reminder of our (single) rule: we do not allow solicitation. This includes promotion of any kind.

Hi all, the past few weeks we've had several posts that basically boiled down to "I made this app". It got to the point where there was a different one every day. Besides the fact that advertising several different apps at the same time is cluttering, oftentimes the purpose of these posts is really just market research and pushing monetization on vibe coded apps with dubious data security. That's why the rule of no solicitation is now in place.

Any realistic chance of tickets?

Hi, me, my dad and my two brothers are going to spend a weekend in England and we would love to go to Leeds match. Is there any realistic way of getting tickets for Leeds - Man Utd without paying € 500+ per tickets via all kind of ticketing agencies or should I just forget about it?

If anyone has any ideas on this, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Girl groundhoppers

I get the feeling I might be in a small minority of women who groundhop and actively track what grounds they have been too but trying my luck and seeing if there are more out there. Maybe we could be friends.

So ladies if you are out there, how did you get into it ? Why ? How do you plan where you’re going next or are you like me you get to a Saturday and just see what on close by and just go.

Guys you’re not excluded, do you go with a woman to grounds regularly? Is it something you want the women in your life to enjoy with you ?

Mail from a german Perth Glory Fan

Dear Perth Glory family,

I’m a fan from Germany and have been following Perth Glory from afar for quite some time now. Social media makes it a little easier these days than it was about a decade ago.

And by the way it’s fun to help make Australian football a little better known in football-spoiled Germany and Central Europe.

I’m already looking forward to the next few years, when I’ll finally be able to see a game live in person. Until then, I’ll remain patient and continue trying to collect some cool (and unusual) fan memorabilia.

If you know how I might be able to get hold of old match posters, programmes, shirts, or any other bits and pieces in the future, please let me know.

And a Germany based Glory supporters club would be awesome, mhh? ;)

Best wishes

Tom

How do you plan a visit to a ground you've never been to before?

I'm doing some early research into how sports fans plan trips to stadiums and sporting venues they haven't visited before.
I'm particularly interested in what people look up beforehand, where they find the information, and what tends to be difficult or unreliable.
I've put together a short 2–3 minute survey. I'm not selling or promoting anything — just trying to work out whether there's actually a problem worth exploring.
Would really appreciate responses from anyone who attends live sport, particularly if you travel to unfamiliar grounds.

Tickets Eternul Derby Dinamo - FCSB

Hey Guys,

I'm planning a trip to Romania and Moldova and I happen to be in Bukarest for the Eternul Derby between Dinamo Bukarest and FCSB.

I've been to a couple of games in Romania and tickets weren't an issue but since it's the derby and the stadium isn't that big I was wondering how the chances are to get tickets for that match.

I'd try to buy them online beforehand but even though the game is in 1½ weeks, there seem to be no tickets available (yet?)

Any advise on who to make sure, that I can snatch a ticket?

Thanks in advance!

The BvB club anthem hits different... The whole culture does, actually. The atmosphere and all around spectacle is something else, propably the pinnacle of football culture I've witnessed in my ~10 years as a groundhopper.

Their anthem is called something like "Shine bright, my star" by the way, which made 1:00 hit even harder for me.

Best app for planning a Germany groundhopping trip?

Hey guys,
I’m planning a football trip to Germany and want to fit in as many games as possible.
I’m thinking of combining Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, German Cup and, if the schedule works out, Champions League matches as well.
I’m trying to plan everything around the fixtures so I can potentially catch multiple games in the same weekend and travel between nearby cities.
Is there an app or website you guys use specifically for groundhopping that makes this easier? Ideally something where I can see fixtures by date and on a map, filter by league/competition, and quickly see which games are close enough to combine.
Would love to hear what you guys use for planning trips like this!

Buenos Aires Groundhopping

Hi everyone, I’ll be in BA for two weeks in mid-September and naturally want to catch as many matches as possible during that time. I’ve never been to Argentina before, so I wanted to ask those of you with experience there how you handled tickets. How did you go about getting them for the big clubs versus the mid-tier ones, and how does it work for the second division? I’d appreciate any feedback—feel free to write a novel about it! Thanks in advance!!

Hamburg Trip- Ticket Advice

Just found out my work will be sending me to Hamburg, DE from 21 Nov to 7 Dec and looking at attending matches at St Pauli, Hamburger SV and possibly Werder Bremen. Is having a club membership the only way to get tickets outside of using sketchy sites like Viagogo? I know the Hamburger-Bayern Derby will almost be impossible to get tickets for but any advice is appreciated!

Milan CRN-Card

Hi everyone,

I’m going to San Siro in October for the first time to see Milan vs. Atalanta.
Is it necessary to buy a CRN card?
It costs €33 per person, including shipping (there are two of us).
Of course, I plan to try and get tickets on the first day of general sale, but I’m not sure if there will be many left by then; I’m aiming for a relatively good view in the middle or lower tier.

One more question about the CRN card: Can I order two tickets per account—provided I enter my colleague's CRN details as well?
In other words, does he not need his own Milan account?

Sorry for all the questions, but I just want to be 100% sure. 🙂

Thank you to u/visitmalta for the invite to our first away day this season.

A day out in Edinburgh at the u/nufc and u/everton game at u/scottishgasmurrayfield stadium.

We were guests in the Presidents Lounge, and got to enjoy full vip hospitality, and pitchside access pre game!

Couple of famous faces met also!

What a day out - here’s the journey to the game, and onto the pitch!
