Long story short, I was recently hospitalized for a week with sepsis from a necrotizing soft tissue infection in my left buttock that required 4 days of debridement surgeries to remove all of it. (I'm accepting any and all half-ass jokes) I also was suffering from diabetic ketoacidosis, because I was unaware I was type 2 diabetic.

It was easily the scariest thing I've ever been through, but the reason I bring it up is because when I was feeling really scared and needed something to take my mind off of things, I turned on H3 and After Dark. Sometimes it was just pod episodes and other times it would be family made compilations, either way it was my emotional support and continues to be.

Now I've started the long road to recovery, being bed ridden and on unpaid medical leave until I'm free from the wound vac device. And it is so easy to lay here and stress about how I'm going to make things work, pay the bills, and how scary the continuing healing process is going to be. But at least I have Ethan, the crew, and the family to give me some distraction and just be knowingly oblivious for a couple moments.
