Gotthard - Anytime, Anywhere
A most excellent Swiss rock band. Been around for decades but I finally discovered them three years ago. This tune is with original singer Steve Lee. Seems really underrated. (Eclipse is right up there too.) Been looking for their documentary, but it's thought to get in the US.

Capturing that early 80’s vibe- female lead- White Crone The Poisoner 2020
Stumbled on this video released in 2020
She nails the sound and vibe of the early 80’s and looks like the chick we bummed smokes from after lunch in the high school smoking area
Are there other current bands making this early 80’s sound?

When the song doesn't live up to the opening riff
This was always been a pet hate of mine. A track that starts with a searing opening riff with a catchy hook, but then descends into a drab mire of nonsense and weakness. Give us your examples.
My opening offering. 10,000 Lovers by TNT. Such a disappointment after the awesome riff that starts the song. Its like two completely different ideas stitched together.

Gemini five's first album is a hidden masterpiece!
Its such a cool sleaze rock album with some really cool darker themes and the anime ish vibe they have on the cover and the occancional japanese in the tracks.
The album also feels a little post grungy too in a good way. Its nice with sleaze rock with some more heavier subjects than party, drugs and alcohol.
My favourite song is myself esteem and chemicals between us.

Toast of the town
Does anyone think that Toast of the town should have originally been on too fast for love? Don't get me wrong, I think the album is incredible and one of my favourites the way it is, but I've always thought that Toast of the Town should have been on the main tracklist, especially when compared to Come on and Dance, which I think is 100% the weakest track on the album (not counting stick to your guns) because it was removed). Also does anyone know why it was left off in the first place? I cant find an explanation anywhere.

Thoughts on Nelson - After the Rain (1990)?
A very polarizing group in the genre, and that's why I want to do this post. I'm also curious how many have actually listened to the album. I know some were turned off by the band immediately and forever.
