ive been wondering for a whole month how should the the manga should end because the whole story has been Ippo trying to find the meaning of strength and it seems Ricardo is the wall he will have to face and beat to get the answer but then where does miyata fit into this like I understand they need to fight again but whats the point aint the whole show ippo getting his answer I was thinking that Ippo will get wba and miyata the wbc and then they fight for a unification belt but then ippo has his answer isnt that most of his motivation to fight and if they fought it would be nice to see kamogawa see both of his boxers on the world stage ippo shows kamogawas style iron fist and miyata shows his dads style the counterpunch on the world stage but if they do fight how should it go to decision or knockout. Or will it be a draw so its like a cycle with kamogawa and nekota both mad about who really won that fight. I only say this because Ippo and miyata are a mix of neko and kamo . Miyata is quick like neko but serious like kamo and ippo is strong like kamo and goofy like neko so how should the manga end. Should i end after Ippo gets his answer or does Ippo get his answer fighting Miyata or maybe all of the guys including Sendo and Volg on Ippos boat sailing to the ocean representing their growth but my big question is what is the point of fighting Miyata if Ippo gets his answer of strength because that is most of Ippos motivation. So how should Hajime no Ippo end?

For those who’ve read the manga, did you guys start from Chapter 1, or did you pick up from where the anime left off?

I’m also hesitant to start the manga because I know once I catch up to the latest chapter, the cliffhangers are going to kill me 😂. But then again, I could literally pass away tomorrow, so why not just enjoy the story while I can?

Also, how often does George Morikawa usually release new chapters?

Im on episode 16 of season 2, I loved season 1 and i think it was one of the most enjoyable anime Ive ever seen, the flow was perfect the jokes were funny to me, overall incredible hilarious season, in season 2 im seeing a major drop off in the story for me, im someone who doesn't really care about animation quality if the story is good.

My first complaint is why doesn't ippo get over the awkwardness between him and kumi despite knowing each others for so long, i would understand it for the first couple of times but every single interaction is them blushing, I didn't like that they didn't move at all in their relationship despite the time spent together.

My second complaint is takamura, first of all why would they make him molest aoiki's girlfriend when he said numerous times in season 1 that he feels disgusted by her. I get that this is part of takamura's character in season 1 which i completely overlooked at the time because i found takamura entertaining and funny and tried to erase all the weird bs he's done, but i genuinely don't like him in season 2, he's like a manchild now who only wants attention, i don't remember him being that way in s1 but i may have missed it or something.

And why the fuck for his match in october in s2 is he so skinny, i know this is an anime and gags happen all the time, but they always took the fights seriously. I liked how they presented the dieting phase in s1 where they showed takamura tweaking for some food. Now all of a sudden takamura is one fart away from death.
Im bringing this up because like i said the dieting in this show felt very real and as someone who followed a very strict diet for 2 months of very low calories and did enjoy how it was presented.

But now no one looked at takamura at all like at least 1 week before the fight???
Maybe one could argue glycogen depletion? It wasn't neither fat nor muscle because those take a long time to burn, and from the reaction of ippo he didn't look like that at least 4 days ago.

This season has stripped my enjoyment for the show, and ive been debating if i should drop it or thug this part out.

Im ready to take any criticism, mainly because i feel like I might have insulted what one of you like very much.

The title, I am already on episode 47 after two days. The soundtrack, the heart, the charecters, the boxing, it's very rooted in reality (i mean compared to the black hole tennis of prince of tennis, yes this is real).

I'm probably gonna finish the whole anime and then jump right onto the manga.

Have previously watched some clips on YouTube . The scene where he says to takamura san how does it feel to be so strong makes me wonder what’s to come ahead. This is so homely

So this morning, one of my friend wanted me to push his motorbike while he was on it (this equates to about 280 kg or 617 lb) to kick start it for him, since he needed to check if the battery was dead. We moved up and down about 20 metres outside of our shared flat, and it wasn't working.

So, we moved onto a straight piece of road, so I could accelerate to my top speed. We covered about a total distance of 40 metres on a FLAT piece of road.

I was so puffed out that I was about to throw up.

I have a background in football/soccer and I can sprint 100m in about 13 seconds and I have been doing boxing for almost 5 months so far, so I do have good lower body strength, but man, it really puts into perspective how strong Ippo's lower body is when he is pushing Kamogawa up hills with his Moped.

(We never managed to get the motorbike running).

As for me

Ippo : He will come back it's mandatory, and I think his first real goal will probably be Miyata. I still think that the Ippo–Miyata fight is the one most likely to be the manga’s sporting climax. He would face either Sendo or Martinez before or neither of them.

Miyata : I think Miyata will gradually be brought back to the center of the story.The problem is that both of them need to be in situations that allow for this fight. So I think Miyata will keep boxing until Ippo comes back, and he'll be his last opponent (I also see one last possibility where the Miyata vs. Ippo match is a sparring session)

Sendo : My fav ! That’s probably the one that worries me the most. Because Morikawa has given him a lot of story material recently. That’s exactly what he did with Mashiba. Sendo is currently going through his own climax. So I see two possibilities:

1. Ricardo beats Sendo, and Sendo is permanently sidelined like Mashiba.

→ This is the one I find most likely to happen.

1. Sendo beats Ricardo and becomes champion.

→ This would be the “classic” scenario that i would love, but I find it less likely.

Even though the author also seems to place a lot of importance on fate, and Sendo and Ippo are truly connected, a third match would be cool but pointless (in fact, in my opinion, Sendo should have won the first one).

Takamugoat : Takamura wants to conquer all six divisions but only for Kamogawa

Takamura could potentially lose the fundamental reason he’s pursuing this dream. So I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Takamura’s biggest fight came after an event involving Kamogawa. A fight he could win or lose. But i see a win like Ippo is in his corner, and Takamura is all like, “Oh yeah, you’re like him, blah blah blah.” with the slap.

Aoki: His current goal is much more personal. He wants to settle the score with the one who defeated him. I think he’ll probably get his rematch and then stop.

Kimura: Mashiba was his main goal. Once he got past Mashiba, his motivation became much less clear. So it's very obvious :

Aoki wins his rematch → Kimura realizes he no longer needs to continue → he quits.

ITAGAKIIIIIIIIIIN : I think he'll probably have one last big arc in Japan. I could definitely see him becoming the national champion. Talent alone isn't enough; you have to learn how to make the most of it will be the moral. And then, he could become the guy who carries the torch for the next generation with Ippo.

I like this rivalry more, both of them are very similar and different in a way. The 2 fights were blockbusters, Sendo goes out of his way to make fights happen! Ik Sendo thinks of Ippo as his greatest rival, I just don't get why the Miyata thing hasn't faded away completely. It was a couple spars just as they were turning pros, I get admiring him of course in Ippo's pov.

No constant blue balling for decades. I do like Miyata and he's a bit different to the typical 'main' rival of MCs in shonenwhere he can be nice and actually take away his pride when he's in the wrong opposed to being stuck up. But dude is now in a limp for years because Ippo retired. I don't even see how their fight will be fair in a way when Miyata is struggling to still be in the featherweight class.

What do u think would be the best thing for him going forward? His whole character arc from the beginning was him wanting to fight ippo and being weight drained and not having a good chin even tho he literally takes some crazy punches and still wins lol. Aside from that, he's pretty much peaked at the OPBF title and hasn't improved his quality of opponents like on the world stage.

Imo I would like for him to finally let go of the idea of fighting ippo and finally fight for himself and to find his own motivation again. He was never shown to have an interest in Ricardo iirc and his original goal was to show his father's style can work. If Miyata finds this passion again, I feel he'd finally move up in weight to where he's comfortable, he should be even stronger and I'm sure he could be a world champion as Rosario is still around. Rosario is still a very strong champion, and he's pretty much got ippo's style, so if miyata beats him and becomes champ, he could sorta say he found someone like ippo while also showing his father's style is world class.

That would be how I'd want his arc to end. What do you guys think? I feel this way it allows us to have multiple high-level boxers that all get time to shine and it makes for good debates on who's P4P better. Kinda like how vorg is also a dominant champ in another weight.

For Context: Ippo just came back home from Takamura's and accepted he lost to Date. Mamanuchi is being expert businesswoman using the Art of the Deal to decide how much supplies she needs for the winter because the ingrates that shop there don't come as much during that time. She spills out her heart about how she still sees Ippo as kid and heart brakes seeing him sad... God... what a treasure to humanity dude... And she looks so damn fine while does it... I fucking love Ippo...

hola buenas noches a todo el mundo, quería hacer una pregunta a esta comunidad porque tengo una duda muy grande, voy por el capítulo 659 del manga y sinceramente se me ha hecho muy pesado todo lo que vendría a ser la pelea de itagaki por el torneo de novatos y lo único rescatable ha sido la pelea de ippo contra el veterano, ahora mismo voy a leer los capítulos del manga relacionados a la pelea de miyata para ver si mantiene el cinturón de campeón de la opbf para más tarde pelear contra ippo y, siendo sinceros, estos 100 capítulos que he leído del manga se me han hecho muy pesados, ¿es normal? o ¿deberia dejar de leer el manga ya que no me gusta tanto como el anime? agradecería que me respondieseis con vuestra opinión y perspectiva porque sinceramente, si el manga va a ser así siempre creo que dejar de leerlo

PD: por favor no comentéis cosas sobre el combate de miyata y si al final enfrenta a ippo o no.

I would like a strong ippo takamura , and nice like Saitama, and above all bald... If I had time, I would create a short with a hippo who wins everything and know-it-all and confident.

Hajime no Ippo: Revolution is a short manga series written and illustrated by Jun Iwamoto (いわもと じゅん) and printed in the Fami2Comic by Famitsu in the August 2007 issue. It is a two-part story based around the manga series' chapters 1-13. It exists as an advertisement for the Nintendo Wii video game of the same name.
