Finally get it
Your silence your avoidance it speaks volumes, and it's louder than any words you could've said. It hurts more than anything because I truly saw you as my future my forever. But now I see you as my lesson. A lesson to love myself first and foremost to put my own heart above someone who clearly doesn't care.

I think that's how most guys end up becoming selfish/ assholes. ( Im sorry if im wrongly assuming your gender)
Once you got your heart broken once, your not easily opening it up to just anyone again. So if I ever get into a new relationship , I'm probably just gonna prioritize my own well being.
That's literally how it goes.

It gets better.
I don't wanna jinx it but after a month and a half of basically brooding, I'm feeling good and enjoying life again.
I even feel like if she wanted to get back together now I could say "No" I hope its a sign that im getting over my ex.

A very honest and simple suggestion- Have you tried apologizing/talking about it properly not in a very egotistical/defensive with proper accountability wrt to whatever role you had to play in the situation?
Also, take yourself out of the situation and exchange the roles - how would you like if the other person was you? Because if the person was with you and has endured things from your side (not saying you are perpetuator here given we don't know the context but incase because it atleast takes two to tango but who starts the dance is a separate question). Some empathy helps ig.
I feel often in life we prioritise our egos alot and lose things dear to us due to external influences which often asks us to ‘be cool don’t apologize much, play it off’ and alot of bad advice floats around the world. But truth is apologies count earnest accountability matters still who knows maybe the other person is waiting for it on the otherside too?
My point is to not give up on love if its fixable go fix it if you think you can and if you hurt the person and haven’t apologized well enough because i genuinely believe good love is hard to come by in this world.

Were you the one who caused the hurt? If yes then try apologizing maybe earnestly if nothing works then take lessons from this for future.

I’m not sure I accused him of sleeping with somebody else because I had such a strong feeling that he was. And his reaction/avoidance says it all 😔

If it’s your gut feeling I’d say don’t ignore it because if someone has nothing to hide and this is a rather new feeling you’ve been having the person should clarify and should be willing to answer anything and ask you why or what made you feel that way.

Idk if you are my person, but if you are I need you to know that you NEVER for even one second left my mind or my heart. No matter what I said while I was hurting, regardless how distant I may have seemed to you. What we shared for so long never left my mind even momentarily. I did everything I could to try to distract myself from the anger and the resentment I felt as the result of your choices, but nothing helped at all! I may have masked it pretty well. I may have put on an heir of unfeeling. But inside I was dying because you were constantly there!
