Day 3, give it up. Well, this is why I bought an old Honda after all.

Cleaning up my 250 for sale, trying to add some flair that will make it stand out. Recently replaced the engine with an eBay one, but it has clearly been sitting outside and has lots of oxidation/pitting, and is all scratched from where they used steel wire brushes before. I prefer to paint it instead of polish back to a shine.

Hey guys, Just recently a relative of mine took my Bike and apparently the clutch lever broke off(which is not what has happened, probably tried to overtake and hit some vehicle and broke it) but he did promise to pay for the damage. I have no idea what to do. I need to replace it before my family finds out and how much do you guys think it'll cost me?
Hello, I bought the Honda CB500F 2022 a few weeks ago. This motorcycle is such a great commuting vehicle. It has good fuel effeciency, almost 33km/L.

How much could be difference between these two handguards regarding windchill in the cold months? The first one looks like so much sleeker in my opinion (SW-Motech), but the second seems more practical (Puig). Bike is a CB500 Hornet with an added touring windscreen.
Edit: I have factory installed heated grips, a quite ok pair of winter glove, and cheap ugly hippo hands for the most extreme weather.

I tested a theory today and confirmed my carb sync screw is wandering. Took it for a 20 min ride and saw that the screw had rotated. I think this is why my bike progressively rides worse and worse. Itās a weird linkage, it feels like that nut never truly gets tightened down due to the spring under it. Any suggestions?

New top end build after the motor was reading like 20psi on a few cylinders. Still needs some fine tuning obviously, but sounds very healthy for not being set up.

I'm hooking up carb fuel lines on my 1980 CB750K. I believe the fuel line from the petcock goes to the nipple between carb 1 and 2 (left side in pic), but where does the black hose from the nipple between carb 2 and 3 go? Or is that the fuel line?
The bike didn't come with the extra fuel pump or whatever that gadget is that some CB750s have between the petcock and the carbs. Not sure if a previous owner removed it, or if this model didn't come with it.
Additionally, there is a nipple on the bottom of the airbox that is missing (broken off).
Any help appreciated. Second photo is the bike in question. I have two sets of carbs, one nice set already mounted, and a second set off the bike that is in the first photo.

Just received the side cover emblems for my CB550 and wonder if anyone here can speak to how well the interior press clips hold the metal emblems in place. I'm considering putting a dab of LockTite on the posts just for peace of mind, but I do have a tendency to overcomplicate things that don't need messing with. I am super pleased to have her wearing a proper name tag, though.

I canāt figure out whatās going on, I have the advancer set exactly at where the Left side points are supposed to open and they are barely open. These are brand new NOS points.
Not sure if this is where to ask, a friend has a ā98 CB900rr (US Version, 919 engine) that Iām thinking of picking up, has 18k miles on it, but has sat for 10 years. I would trailer it and then fix it up. Iām told itās stock, with original fairings, etc. Heās thinking on price ($1600-2kish). But what kind of investment am I looking at after 10 years? It was running at time of parking it on his garageā¦

I found this bike for sale on the side of the road non-running for 100 dollars when I was 19 and I stupidly bought it. The wiring was a complete mess and it was missing several things including the ignition, but a friend helped me get it running temporarily to make sure the engine was good. After that, I replaced the main wiring harness and the ignition, but I never had the time, money, or skill to get it road worthy. Now I'm 32 and the bike has been through two moves without making much progress on it. Now I finally have the time to work on it and I spent all day yesterday diagnosing and fixing wiring issues. I got it to crank, but had no spark at the plugs. After going through and testing the stator, the plugs, wires, connections, the killswitch, and several other things, I finally diagnosed the problem to be the coil which must have gone bad over the years of being in storage. 20 dollars later and a new coil is on it's way! It's been a challenge (wiring is hard when you're colorblind) but figuring out the problem has been very rewarding! Just thought I would share my experience. Still a lot of work to go but I'm going to have fun doing it!

Hello everyone, I have been deveolping an airbox with the goal in mind to make a compact, clean airbox inspired by the style of the Cognito Moto setup, but specifically designed around the stock CB750 engine and CV carb style. The airbox keeps almost the exact AFR ratio as the OEM airbox, so no tuning, re-jetting, taping, or any other modification is required, unlike pods or even the Cognito Moto airbox. The small design makes it easy to pull out of the frame. Selling at $99.99, which includes everything needed except the UNI air filter the design is built around. Looking to see if anyone is interested in something like this! Respond if interested or with any questions. Thanks!

I bought this bike for $2,000. Could you please tell me everything I need to do to make it run as smoothly and reliably as possible? The bike has been sitting idle for over 10 years; it still runs well and is fairly quiet, but it definitely needs a full service and maintenance. Please share as much detailed information and advice as possible

Hey all, just got some aftermarket pistons for my 1980 CB750 after tearing down the engine, and they look very different to the ones I pulled out of the engine. They also came with what looks like a graphite second compression ring. I put one in the engine and turned it by hand to check if the bottom of the pistons clear the crank and rods and they seemed to be fine. Haven't had a chance to see if the valves get in the way.
Has anyone else seen or run anything similar?
