I’m not noticing new issues, but I don’t understand how there’s been no fix to the alarm toggles in Clock. They’re Liquid Glass components, but the corresponding animation doesn’t occur if you tap them. It only occurs whenever you slide your finger across them.

This has been an issue since iOS 26 and I’ve reported it numerous times.

17

u/Comprehensive-Ask26 8d ago

There’s multiple toggles buried in the Settings app that do the same thing

14

u/mconk 8d ago

I’ve reported the stopwatch not functioning properly numerous times as well. I use the stopwatch almost daily. When starting a lap, it’ll show up on the lock screen, but maybe 8/10 times it’ll glitch out, and when you tap the stopwatch from the lock screen, it’ll open a completely empty stopwatch in the actual clock app. Usually happens after an hour or so. Sometimes the stopwatch on the lock screen and the actual clock app will show two very different things. This is MADDENING

Inverted WiFi signal strength still not fixed in control center 😑

28

u/helloder2012 8d ago

This is such an odd one considering that they should just be icon files lol

17

u/OppositeSea3775 Developer Beta 8d ago

Actually, SF Symbols are more than just a bunch of precrafted SVGs. They're highly customizable and not "set in stone", and this is the perfect example. You could even make only the middle part white with the rest lower opacity.

8

u/its-notmyrealname 8d ago

SF symbols 8 (currently in beta, released with iOS 27) introduce new simplified and generic draw in/out mechanics.

My guess is that they applied it here, but the sf symbol was configured in reverse.

20

u/ostregag 8d ago

It’s a new and innovative way to show the signal strength!

9

u/A11Bionic iPhone 15 Pro Max 8d ago

can’t innovate anymore my ass

The WiFi 🛜 signal icon is still in reverse orientation

3

u/Bllq21 8d ago

What do you mean?

23

u/JamesR624 8d ago

Okay, think of the Wifi icon like this: ( 0% ▓ ▓ ▓ 100% )

Normally getting less signal would go:

( 0% ▓ ▓ ▓ 100% )

( 0% ▓ ▓ ░ 100% )

( 0% ▓ ░ ░ 100% )

( 0% ░ ░ ░ 100% )

The glitch makes it so it goes:

( 0% ▓ ▓ ▓ 100% )

( 0% ░ ▓ ▓ 100% )

( 0% ░ ░ ▓ 100% )

( 0% ░ ░ ░ 100% )

Hopefully this explains it well enough through text.

8

u/_Averix Developer Beta 8d ago

Actually, that was a pretty good way of describing it.

5

u/SuccessfulSpeaker645 8d ago

The Wi-Fi status icon is displaying the signal strength in reverse. The icon consists of three bars (arcs): currently, the bottom two are solid white and the top one is dimmed, but on iOS 27 the logic is inverted.

  1. When swiping down to Spotlight, the search bar still jumps in place.

  2. Notification Center notifications still flash by after pressing the sleep button.

i can’t replicate either of these. I’m not sure what you’re saying with the first one either. Can you elaborate

If you don’t have the new Siri, the old spotlight bar jumps when you swipe to search something

This is number 2 in slow mo so it’s easier to see. And number 1 is probably only visible for the old Siri like Ostregag mentions.

I’m worried that they have removed the per app font size settings, from the control center :(

I use a lot this feature for apps with inconsistent font sizes.

Already reported this multiple times, but they close the report.

Swiping down spotlight/siri search is much faster for me on this beta. Previously it always took a second before I could type. 17pro

12

u/Booty_Pincher 8d ago

I’ve had an issue since Dev Beta 1 where the keyboard takes about 3 seconds to pull up when I tap the address bar in Safari. I swear it was happening in other apps, but now that I’m actually paying attention to when it happens, it seems to just be Safari. It’s pretty annoying.

theres no way this beta cycle is almost over. I feel like the past 3 beta updates haven't really changed much. I'm still experiencing the same bug/incorrect thing ive experienced since beta 1 with my siri ai conversations not actually syncing between devices. First it start between my iphone and ipad where they wouldn't sync and then when the watchos one came out the same thing.

The apple watch syncs better than the ipad cuz at least for a little, it syncs the conversations (not fully and it stops syncing after a while), while the ipad has never synced

12

u/GiveUrSackATug 8d ago

yea cause now its refining. new features are waiting for the 27.1 beta

On my iPhone 15 Pro Max, using the clear/tinted icons causes the opening app experience to be really slow and it’s not as smooth as it used to be. Anyone else facing this issue?

22

u/radis234 iPhone 17 Pro Max 8d ago

Used to be? Was this ever smooth? I remember it being bad performance with clear icons ever since iOS 26 beta 1 on my previous iPhone 14 Pro Max and it still lags on latest iOS 27 beta on iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro Max I tested it on. Apple marked this issue as fixed but I don’t see it even partially fixed.

I also experience the same issue the opening and closing of the app becomes stuttering

7

u/krk0445 8d ago

Been there since ios 27 beta 1. I stopped using them because of the lag. Reported it on every beta version to apple. Looks like they dont want people using the clear or tinted icons.

4

u/Nob0dy-0 8d ago

Yeah, I also had to get rid of the clear icons; it was becoming headache-inducing. I really hope they manage to fix it by the final release; I’ll keep submitting it in the feedback until then.

Apple removed the proofread, professional, and rewrite functions in a window that would come up at the bottom. They should bring it back.

11

u/repoluhun 8d ago

Your Apple Intelligence models are redownlading probably

5

u/excuse_me_25 8d ago

They were downloaded in the first beta, but that window never came back.

5

u/repoluhun 8d ago

It never went away from me, but I think it’s normal for it not to be present if you have Siri AI

→ More replies (1)

6

u/SatisfactionSalt5465 8d ago

Agreed, having to type proofread is getting a little old. On the Mac there is a little bubble that pops out to the side, but that's not ideal either. I miss the right click, press and hold, or seeing it in the actions menu on the keyboard options. They were just better.

6

u/ttoma93 8d ago

They replaced it with the generic “Write with Siri” option that collapses them all.

broken since Beta 6

5

u/Concealed_1 7d ago

Pretty sure they aren’t gonna fix it lol. Almost all of the bugs from 26 which I’ve been reporting since db1 are still there

9

u/A11Bionic iPhone 15 Pro Max 7d ago

for a release that’s labeled as an under the hood fixing, there sure are a lot of obvious UI/UX issues

not to mention most of these are actual regressions lol

it’s getting hard to trust Apple’s word on software stability

5

u/Sshaawnn Developer Beta 7d ago

I’m usually against complaining about bugs during a beta, but you’re absolutely correct. For being this close to the public release of a software version specifically advertised as a performance improvement update, it’s a bit concerning that there are still so many issues.

I have an iPhone 17 and an M4 iPad Pro and both get hung up on indexing (somewhere in the 40-49% range) for days, then it fails out. No Apple Intelligence whatsoever and no way to enable it through all of the public beta builds. In settings it just shows “Siri” without any Apple Intelligence listed. I’ve tried every way available to fix this, nothing works.

6

u/-patrizio- iPhone 17 Pro 7d ago

Some things to try if you haven't already:

  • Keep the devices plugged in to power more than you normally would
  • Keep the devices locked more than you normally would
  • Try a hard reboot
  • If there's another beta update next week, try skipping it and giving your devices more time to finish up the indexing
  • If all else fails, when the public release comes, try making a backup and wiping/restoring the devices

Mine hung for a VERY long time, and I've spent very little of the beta cycle with devices that had finished indexing lol, since it seems to take upwards of 10 days each time...Not sure if these will fix your problem, just some things to try.

u/xFnaiC 7d ago

I wonder if this is the last beta before the Release Candidate. They skipped the week that should have been Beta 5, and when Beta 5 dropped it was originally labeled as Beta 6 on the developer site. If 5 was scrapped and 6 renamed to 5, then Beta 7 is technically Beta 8. There’s also usually one week off with no beta before the iPhone release. That lines up with next week having no Beta and the iPhone event and Release Candidate dropping on Wednesday 9/9 (not Tuesday because Monday is Labor Day).

7

u/yatish609 4d ago

Is it just me or is the scrolling experience horrible on this beta? Like you can fast scroll through something like X for example and you would see screen tearing of content. It’s crazy, I never noticed this on any previous betas. Also happens in a few other food apps as far as I can see. Using an iPhone 17.

u/mclovindummy iPhone 17 Pro Max 8d ago

As expected, none of these issues were fixed. It’s always like this every year when the public release gets closer.

  • STILL no Liquid Glass toggle for Alarms.
  • Notification animation bug when tapping stacked notifications. The selected notification overlaps the notifications below instead of expanding smoothly.
  • Wi-Fi glyph in Control Center is still reversed.
  • Visual glitch with the Liquid Glass toggle for AOD in Settings.
  • Keyboard animation in Messages is still too instant when appearing and lacks a smoother transition.
  • App Switcher animation is still broken. Swiping between apps causes the animation to jump, and the gesture does not register immediately.
  • Wallpaper preview under Settings > Appearance still shows the default iOS 26 wallpaper, including in Display Zoom.
  • Keyboard click sounds still disappear. Switching to emojis and back to letters causes the click sounds to stop until briefly exiting the app.
  • Dynamic Island and unlocking animation glitch. On my 17PM, the animations become unusually fast, almost as if they’re skipping frames. This doesn’t happen on my 16 Pro.

10

u/RestInPeaceIP iPhone 13 8d ago

Are you referring to this Liquid Glass for toggling on alarms?

14

u/mclovindummy iPhone 17 Pro Max 8d ago

If you just tap the toggle, it doesn’t do that.

I already reported this one to Apple, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue: I can't disable content blockers on a site in a way that makes the setting persist.

For example, I use Wipr 2. I wanted to disable content blockers for a website, but every time I disabled them, closed the tab, and reopened the site in a new one, the blockers would automatically be re-enabled. I also don't see a new whitelist/blackllist anywhere that I can modify on my own, which is unfortunate.

I'm pretty sure this functionality used to work. Hope someone else is in the same boat.

edit: I'm an idiot. You have to navigate to "Website settings" in Safari. Thank you u/nate390 .

u/lint2015 8d ago

Are you disabling content blockers by using “Reload without content blockers”, or by using “Website settings”? I think the former is intended to be temporary and the latter persistent.

I think apple is f*cking with me I reported there’s a bug in resolution control in the camera since beta 1 already downgraded and again upgraded via OTA, and DFU nothing restores the 48MP in the camera on iOS 27!
I reported already 3 times, and apple just says

They gotta to be freaking kidding me, DB7 and there’s no fix for this!

8

u/Douche_Baguette 8d ago

If it "works as currently designed", then the answer is, it's not broken. They intentionally removed it.

4

u/TurnText 8d ago

Or the bug can’t be replicated, or is only occurring on OP’s specific phone, or maybe low priority because not enough percentage of users experience the bug.

If you downgrade to iOS 26, enable resolution control and then upgrade to iOS 27 you will have resolution control option on the camera interface back.

If you perform a clean install it is buggy and it wont appear.

Let’s see if Siri asks me to unlock every time I ask her to send a text this time. Or needs me to unlock to add something to grocery list. And then just hangs on the unlock screen infinitely until you cancel. It’s like they flip a coin on this behavior every update.

11

u/itastesok 8d ago

I hate when it tells me I need to unlock my phone when I ask it to stop the alarm. Like, really?

6

u/CassetteLine 8d ago

u/A11Bionic iPhone 15 Pro Max 8d ago

it’s fucking inconsistent though

it’s there in Photos and Music apps but missing everywhere else

Apple should just give us an Accessibility option ffs. if they can architect Liquid Glass to have a transparency toggle with no input from third party developers needed, they can surely make Progressive Blur an option for those of us who want it

u/ttoma93 8d ago edited 8d ago

Just like how they shifted the search bars to the bottom in virtually every system app a year or two ago, yet Reminders maintains the old way of a magnifying glass icon in the top right. They’re consistent until they aren’t.

Two things I’m noticing (not sure if specific to Beta 7):

  1. The menu in Clock is more clear/white
  2. When typing this message on Reddit in Safari, I can see content from the webpage behind the keyboard

For those experiencing charging issues:

The solution is to use a USB-A to Lightning charger; using USB-C to Lightning with PD charging triggers a bug that causes charging to stop after 5 seconds.

The new floating Siri button that appears next to editable text fields can overlap and block buttons, links, or other webpage controls. This makes the underlying interface difficult or impossible to use without clicking elsewhere to dismiss the floating control first.

The floating button should never cover interactive content on the webpage. Its position should dynamically adjust based on available space, or there should be a user setting to disable this floating interface while retaining Writing Tools functionality.

how about that wallpaper desaturation bug?

19

That’s been there since at least iOS 17, especially when switching focus modes that have different wallpapers. I’ve frankly given up on them ever fixing it. I’ve reported it at least 5 times

iPhone 13 mini here.
This is the worst iOS 27 beta so far.

Today I had an hour long glitch where I couldn’t scroll at all, horizontally and vertically.

The phone gets super hot just from listening to music and doing some basic scrolling or reading.

I hadn’t used the alarm for a few weeks. Yesterday I had to wake up early, so I turned on the three alarms I had already set.
In the morning, I snoozed the alarm like I normally do, but it never rang again… I woke up hours later and of course ended up being late!!!!

I also have to restart the phone at least once a day because of random, annoying glitches.

Typing is a pain in the ass, and the battery has been draining like crazy ever since Beta 6.

The first iOS 27 betas were amazing, such a nice breath of fresh air and way better than iOS 26 for me.

The Photos app crashes constantly on iPadOS.

6

u/phinecraft iPhone 15 Pro Max 3d ago

yeah, battery life is sadly terrible. i can watch the % dropping on my eyes just scrolling tiktok or whatever.

All of a sudden I can’t type for shit. Is it me? 🤦‍♂️

6

u/_Averix Developer Beta 8d ago

Auto correct was a nonsensical mess for a few betas. Replacing the first word of a sentence with something that "it" thought was better. It seems better on beta 7, but haven't typed enough to say for sure.

Still haven’t had a progress percentage on the indexing through any of the betas. Just disappears once done.

6

u/-patrizio- iPhone 17 Pro 7d ago

I did for exactly one version lol—either beta 2 or 3, I think 2 but not certain—and it hung for over a week at the same percentage, before finally finishing up a couple of hours before the next beta released 🫠 Other than that time, though, no percentage; just an indicator of whether it’s happening.

Bad news. I was told by Apple that the bug where we can’t use Hi-res and crossfade/automix at same time is intended change/downgrade 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

4

u/NyantaK 3d ago

Wow what an assole of a move this is, it worked perfectly with high res.. and if you’re in the eu like me, you don’t even get the new features.. the 17 pm will likely be my last iPhone, I can’t stand it anymore, each years we get screwed.

Liquid glass Tinted option now behaves differently than previous betas. It doesn't darken search bars or other input fields, but instead reduces transparency and points more towards the white color. Compare with previous betas!

Dark mode widgets are still half black and half grey. I wish they would have just left them all grey at this point if they’re not going to fully transition. It’s been over a month.

7

u/FriskyDuck 8d ago

Scrubbing through videos flat out refuses to work most times on the first or even second attempt. Pausing on Safari is just awful. When I hit pause to read text, it skips a second or two forward.

What happened with iOS 27’s Safari? I’m seeing this issue on YouTube, Patreon and bootleg sport sites.

Possible iOS 27 Beta 7 HealthKit bug with Philips Sonicare

Has anyone else had problems getting third-party apps to connect to Apple Health on Beta 7?

I’m trying to connect the Philips Sonicare app to Apple Health. My toothbrush is connected to the Sonicare app over Bluetooth and everything works normally there.

When I go to Sonicare → Settings → Apple Health Settings, the “I want to link my data with Apple Health” switch is greyed out and I can’t turn it on.

Sonicare also doesn’t show up at all under Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. I checked Settings → Apps → Sonicare too, and there’s no Health permission listed there either.

Bluetooth and Location are enabled, the toothbrush is actively connected, and all the relevant privacy settings in the Sonicare app are turned on. I’ve restarted everything and reconnected the toothbrush with no luck.

It seems like Sonicare isn’t actually triggering the HealthKit permission request, so iOS never gives me the prompt or adds Sonicare to the Health permissions list.

Philips still says Apple Health integration is supported and these are the steps they tell you to use, so I’m wondering if something changed or broke with HealthKit permissions in the iOS 27 beta.

Anyone on Beta 7 using Sonicare and able to connect it to Apple Health? Or has anyone noticed something similar with other HealthKit apps?
Trying to figure out whether this is iOS 27 or Philips before I delete and reinstall the whole damn thing.

It is an indicator for where to swipe from to either access control center or notification center. If you go to home screen after unlocking, you should see the same line on the left under the clock. I think it is supposed to be just a visual cue.

I just updated to the iOS 27 beta and unfortunately experienced a system crash after the update. My iPhone became unresponsive and needed a restart before I could use it normally again. Since it’s beta software, I expected some bugs, but I wanted to share my experience in case others are considering updating. Apple has continued releasing newer iOS 27 beta builds, so hopefully these stability issues are addressed in the next update.
