Update?

Would updating my iPhone XR from 15.4.7 to 18.7.9 be an absolute crazy decision or would the phone be able to handle it?

I don’t want to ruin my phone as it’s in great condition but I need certain apps for college that require ios17 and up.

Save SHSH Blobs before updating pls if you do that you can go back 15.4.7 in future

(There’s no any good downgrade tools right now but we have a exploit called usbliter8 and probably something was happen in future)

Just create aback up on itunes if you have a computer then update after

I’m on 18.7.10 (dev).
And it’s running well.
No problem.

Not just get a huge UI visual custom feature.

You will get better safari/webkit performance as well. They back-ported some safari flags from iOS27. Because I goes through iOS 18 since the first to lastest one and saw that they bring a lots improvements to 18.7.10 and just enabled those flags by default. With new flags that never seen before being added.

Battery replaced last year.
