Yeah but the wallpaper does not load properly in landscape whenever I’d open notifications, is that normal?

Well yea. The wallpaper is probs not designed to go in landscape mode

It’s normal my iPhone 17 does it as well

your wallpaper is probably portrait so it wouldn't be able to rotate for landscape so it makes up for it by showing a matching color
