I hate when people call everything trauma and use out of context images to justify it
This little girl is crying because her dad is going to die very soon. Not because some forced marriage trauma ffs

this is something i wasnt expecting to happen, however alot of people have been posting the same sub multiple times, that being trueuglywomen, its gotten to the point where its become a hate brigade to the sub, and while i dont like it myself, this isnt the kind of stuff i want the sub to devolve into, so for the rest of the month that sub, and any subs of the kind are banned, thats all, please hate responsively yall
ALSO READ THE RULES BEFORE COMMENTING OR POSTING, REALLY IMPORTANT

Like none of this shit exist or matters outside the Internet where you tell someone you’re apart of a certain fandom, they act as if you’re the devil himself. They put so much energy into attacking and harassing someone for being or doing something cringe in their eyes over actual bad people like racists or pedos that it makes themselves look cringe, I’m so sick of it no matter where I go.

"Then why are there drops on old windows?"
Because of inferior glass blowing techniques and technology.
"Then why are old windows thicker at the bottom?"
Because they're more stable that way.
People have been debunking this for almost a CENTURY but some people still want to bring it up as a fun fact.
Well I'd think it was fun if it was a fact but it isn't so I don't.

All it does is makes me not want to eat it or go to your place if you're not going to show an actual image of your food

It’s gotten to the point where I have to tone down the reds and yellows in my Intel settings just to make modern games like Oblivion Remastered and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 look good.
Aside from wanting a distinctive visual style, why don’t more developers use color grading closer to the second image (my actual IGCC Beta profile) instead of the first?
To me, it looks objectively better and I’m GENUINELY curious why this isn’t more common. Thoughts from anyone in the know?

Hate, let me tell you how much I've come to hate this mother cunt bastard. Everytyime I hear about Lindsey Clancy there's always someone trying to justify their bigotry and commenting his ass. I fucking hate his smirk I would just love to remove his lips so he can never smile like that again. We are all equal but some like him cannot understand that. Also he got his ass beat up in the show yet people still glaze him.

I’ve seen so many of these, and all of them are explicitly targeting women as some sort of “reason why society is wrong”. Yes, yes, the vast majority of the content in them does reflect poorly on the values of the people who posted them, but the fact that I’ve seen none of them criticizing men for doing the same things, for doing worse things, and all of it just feels like an excuse to be against general women as a whole. I swear I saw one where someone actually used the “why women deserve less” image at the end. The whole concept seems to be based wholly in misogyny that people just ignore, support, or treat as normal things. Yes, the one person advocating for cheating isn’t in the right, but her opinion does not reflect on every single woman that’s ever existed ever, and it feels like that’s what these all imply and it pisses me off. (I really can’t shake the feeling that it’s another sort of weird black pill posting ring)
That isn’t even Ultron’s goal. he isn’t some sort of pro cheating punishment activist, his programming stated that he had to eliminate all threats to humanity, and upon programming completion, he decided humanity itself was the threat. what these posters have to accept is that if they want some sort of punishment for them, and all innocent women as a whole, they’re getting attacked too

Gotta love when a nurse takes out her frustration on people who's lives depend on them.
For context this is a slice of life Comic creator who is currently a nursing student, and she's already comfortable to make content about this interaction. While she says most of it happened in her mind she admitted to setting a patient's pain score, the method hospitals use to track how much agony is in, to zero, because he inconvenienced her.
This is blatant malpractice. Without proper pain treatment a patient could be lying in bed in absolute agony for weeks. If discovered, she would immediately lose her medical license.
After people rightly called her out for it she deleted the post of Reddit, but soon put it up on her Instagram l, with the self report edited out (it's still up there).
I think this kind of behaviour absolutely disgusting, I had a grandmother who got SEVERE complications from hospital staff neglect, t.he fact some of them do it knowingly and maliciously is insane
The fact a nurse can form this habit so early in her career, and feels comfortable enough to joke about it with strangers is also insane.
I sincerely hope she either changes or is discovered in time before someone is killed (intentionally or not) under her care.

basically all 13 to 50 year old children who get 100k upvotes and are all:
conformist, childish, hating their own species, on the other sub without an "I" a, swearing like total donkeys, falling for the poorest bait ever, sending "delete this" memes on comments, pretending to have monkey pox to post, wanting to do /kill irl for seeing porn, crying on ui changes, and finally,
using insults with (n, r, f which are VIP level insults) to add in their pathetic and poor argument😭🤣

No, tik tok is not automatically blocking Ms Rachel for you because she spoke up for Palestinian children, you’re just posting this to get likes and comments

Istg it’s just a “woke” way to put down women. The amount of people who’ll call a girl a pick me or NLOG for saying she likes beer, football, crude humor, wanting to be a stay at home mother or admitting anything “unconventional” is so fucking weird. It oddly reenforces gender stereotypes. They’re only a pick me or NLOG if they put down other women for the attention of men. A woman being masculine/hyperfemmine, weird, or original doesn’t make her performative. Let women live. Istg you just want excuses to be assholes.

"oh but the annoying copypasta!" "oh but the joker i found a pokémon" list all of those famous quotes being unfunny, i agree on those, i also want to talk about the Pokémon i like normally withouth that shit in.
BUT MY GOD STOP ACTING LIKE THE COMPANY ISN'T THE NUMBER ONE FAN OF THAT.
"Oh but you're the weird one" are we deadass bro, here some of the official fucking content, i hate using the term puritan but the community is either overly sexual or overly defensive over this fucking christ.
Even better when they call someone mentally ill or that they should seek mental help because of some spicy Gardevoir or shit, i'll hate that 10000000 times more than any unfunny copypasta.
Stop treating the Pokémon company and Gamefreak like they are not NUMBER 1 FAN of that crap, they are ADULTS not TODDLERS.

It’s a known fact that cats who are mostly obese die early have organ failure and struggle to walk properly without being in pain and I was just saying that to this person and they replied to me like I’m screaming at them over the phone you and it’s just the basic fact that cats like this are not healthy and do die early like really early she is past obese and people are treating it like a object that looks cute. it’s a living being that is suffering actively because of her owners treatment of not handling her food properly.

(art by whirlydoodle)
Now before you get the wrong idea, let me clarify myself and what this post is about.
First off, here's what this post is NOT about:
- This post is NOT about people who are rather light-hearted and innocent, i.e have actual whimsy
- This post is NOT about people having fun, or fun as a concept in general.
Now, what this post IS actually about:
- Using "whimsy" as an excuse to participate in anti-intellectual behaviors
- "Having fun" being used as a gotcha to counter criticism
- Both of the above concepts being used to assert oneself in discussion they have no stake in
Now that we've gotten the intention of the post out of the way, my main dislike against this "joy and whimsy" culture stems from the fact that it is often used as a crutch to end all discussion surrounding a topic immediately. You caught me being wrong? Well I'm just having fun! You caught me being bigoted? Well, that can't be right, I'm full of whimsy!
It offers an out for people to justify any wrongful action of theirs without allowing space for any introspection. Furthermore, it promotes this... inappropriately easy-going worldview, where one eventually fails to take anything seriously, and reduces all forms of art and socializing as objects that should stimulate and provide endless fun, no matter what.
I find that particularly the "having fun" part of this culture often times allows people to insert themselves in discussions they have no place in. For example, I've seen blatantly wrong interpretations of classical literature floating around, often made by people who have no actual engagement to the materia, people who, when called out, cling to the defense of "just having fun". With such a worldview, of course you wouldn't take any conversation or analysis seriously, it all looks like fun and games under this lens.
In combination, these two aspects of this culture create an environment where engagement is treated as silly, where introspection is unthinkable, and where criticism is non-existent.
