What if the Liberals won a majority in 2019? This post explores that scenario. For the results of the 2019, and 2023 elections, I used these polls, and put the percentages from them into Poliwave's simulator for 2019, and 2021, respectively.

UNITED STATES 2024 ELECTIONS......BUT SOMETHING'S DIFFERENT?

Post image
14 Upvotes

Well, my last post which was so high effort that i couldn't even come up with a lore and just told others to create their own and expectedly everyone flamed me so now i have returned.
(Also my first wikibox)

LORE: In this timeline, America was never truly a republic. George Washington became the first American monarch after independence, establishing a constitutional monarchy that gradually became a normal part of American political life. By 2024, Caroline Kennedy was the reigning monarch, while Donald Trump led the elected Liberty Party against her government’s Monarchist Party. Trump and Andy Beshear won the election with 339 electoral votes and 49.1% of the popular vote, defeating Mitt Romney and Vivek Ramaswamy, who took 199 electoral votes and 46.7%. Monarch is unelected and can be removed under circumstances though it results in the guy 'next in line' being chosen. Monarch's powers have greatly been reduced in recent decades and monarchist party is their only source of power. Presidents chosen as candidates by Monarchist Party are figureheads mostly and most of the governance is done in White House (Residence of Monarchs).

*You might be asking how Joe Biden won as independent? Well the answer is that on 6th January Trump refused the election's results saying that the monarchist's have allegedly rigged them, this led to an insurrection. After this president-elect, John Mccain resigned and Joe biden was elected in a contingent election. In this universe, he had largely stepped away from public life after his vice-presidency days finished.

ALTERNATE HISTORY Fries II

Post image

continuation to fries.

how did it happen? uhhhh the fries rebellion succeded, britain won war of 1812 with new england declaring independence. then the nullifier crisis hit and the usa fractured into a civil war that caused the usa to dissolve, with the confederacy rising out of it. other nations that rose out of it include new york city, ohio valley, pennsylvania, and new jersey. michigan, wisconsin, and the rest of upstate new york went to britain... its unrealistic❗❗❗❗❗❗❗ 🤯.

also the system in this confederacy is like whoever wins the most states wins the election, and not the uhhh popular vote. if the state amount ties, a runoff election is held a month later.

DISCUSSION Most Vice Presidential candidate you can think of right now?

Upvotes

As the title says, Who are the most vice presidential people you can think of in modern politics right now or possibly in the future?

What I mean: Not people who could run for president and potentially clench the nomination like AOC or Desantis, but anyone who’s just destined to become a VP matter what they do

I think for the GOP - Sarah Huckabee Sanders(AR-Gov) - Josh Hawley(MO-Sen) - Elise Stefanik(NY-Rep) - Probably Glenn Youngkin(VA-Previous Gov) too

Are all people I could see rounding out a GOP ticket well.

On the opposite end/for dems: - Both Arizona senators seem like they’re just destined to be VP’s - Either of the Chris’s in the senate. Although I think Van Hollen seems to look to primary Schumer as leader soon

And that’s it. Too many dems to me either seem like they won’t round out a ticket at all or actually could become president/win nomination. For instance, Buttigieg feels like he won’t win the primary in 2028 at all, but it’s a separate feeling from a vanity campaign like Vivek did in 2024.

Let me know yalls thoughts though. I always find picking VP candidates one of the funner aspects of creating wikiboxes and such, mainly because it forces you to think about who balances the ticket either more conservatively/progressively, or moderately.
