Why do you think you need this? Printing to the Adobe PDF printer from an application that already has native PDF export capability is usually the wrong way to generate a PDF, and that's especially true of Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

because i need a pdf where my project is in saddle stitch arrangement and ive been using “print booklet” to print as PDF so i can go to a printing shop to print them. i recall downloading a PPD 9.0 to print to PDF in 2024 indesign

Impose the PDF exported from InDesign. What you're doing is converting to PostScript and then back to PDF, aka "refrying" or "round tripping".

If you don't care about the quality of your final product, then by all mean, keep doing what you're doing.

Imo, it's a weird print shop that doesn't offer to impose the pages for you. Or even prefers it. Not an answer to your question, I know, but maybe it's not necessary?

ya they don’t offer that, i’m in design school so they kinda expect us to know how to do it on our end and the printing shops in singapore is mainly older folk running them so most of what they do is more hands on ig, at least that’s my experience

Unzip that file in the presets folder in your InDesign app folder.

https://fromsmash.com/0O5Pa2_aYx-it

It shall be in Applications/Adobe InDesign 2026/Presets/PPDs/ADPDF9.PPD

Looking at your comments I think you are trying to get an imposed PDF.

- use this script https://youtu.be/7p4Su3LUSR0?si=3BOKmqARkDNnoZxD

Or

- download a PPD called “PDF Writer” (i think)

I would recommend letting the print service provider do the set up, but if you need to do it yourself:

How to Impose a Saddle Stitch Booklet via Print Booklet in InDesign

Video also includes a download link for the PPD file.

Export - DON'T print to PostScript / PDF Printer.

Use Acrobat - or use options in your printer's driver - or ask your printing place to do proper imposition.
