I've recently gone down a total rabbit hole with this specific vibe what I'd describe as somewhat chaotic pop-rock.

I've been searching for weeks to find songs that match this energy: that fast-paced pop-rock blend, and my god, that bridge!

Just to clarify, when I say "chaotic," I’m specifically talking about that final chorus in Ricochet.

To give you a bit more context on what I'm looking for, another track I love that scratches a similar itch is "Eyes For You" by The All Ways. On that one, the part I find delightfully chaotic (and can't stop replaying) is the second verse.

Hope you guys can give me some good recommendations!

This is a pet project I've been building all year, a running list of Asian indie rock that's stuck with me. My personal bias is toward Japan and Korea, I'll own that, but I genuinely love the Taiwanese and Thai acts in here too.

Melodic guitar rock with some real teeth in the middle. SE SO NEON, No Party for Cao Dong, MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS, Sailor Honeymoon, HARU NEMURI, Say Sue Me, Accusefive, imdifficult. A lot of it flies under the radar in the West and shouldn't.

Was in Japan recently and spent a fair bit of time checking out smaller indie gigs. Came across this band and I can’t seem to get them out of my head.
Does anyone know who they are?

The whole thing felt really poetic and psychedelic, but there’s this strange nostalgic pop side to it as well.

Proper earworm stuff, even though it doesn’t sound like they’re trying to write obvious pop songs.

Then I went down a bit of a rabbit hole afterwards and apparently their latest single was produced by Freddie Cowan from The Vaccines, with Dave Rowntree from Blur on drums and Bob Hardy from Franz Ferdinand doing the cover art?

Which is mad considering there seems to be barely anything about them online.
Would be keen to know if anyone here has come across them or knows anything about the band.

I started collecting Japanese songs that feel like driving through Fukuoka at night.
