Anyone find this helps you the most? I stopped after 5 years and now can’t sleep with anything. On a cocktail of meds all day and night and can hardly sleep. It spiraled me into extreme insomnia, anxiety that’s out of control and depression. I just wanna go back and not have stopped like that. Trying to un-ruin my life.

I hope it hasn’t messed me up for good. I’m weed dependent it’s the only thing that helps me fall sleep. Ive had insomnia my whole life but it’s gotten worse with age and stress. So I started taking gummies and then turned to smoking for the last couple years. I absolutely hate how weed makes me feel during the day, extreme grogginess and brain fog, sometimes I feel out of body. Sometimes I feel I shouldnt be driving. I haven’t honestly felt rested in years. But I can’t fall asleep on my own no matter how tired I am. My brain is always on. I plan to try some holistic things soon and see what I can do. My doc won’t prescribe me anything else because he says mixing can be dangerous. He says I have to be off weed for a while before prescribing something. I feel at a total loss and feel like I can’t live my life.

THC might help you fall asleep, but its a poorer sleep. There are other herbals worth looking into such as valerian, blue lotus, full decarb amanita.

It works a few times but ultimately it makes it worse, it's probably the serotonin activity increase that helps, higher serotonin concentrations mean more melatonin as it metabolises. You may as well just take melatonin straigt up it's a lot more effective since the dose is consistent.
The only thing long term that works for me is melatonin I've used it for a whole year I take 1mg a night currently you don't build a tolerance, saying that sleep problems are still possible if there's other problems. Poor diet not using up enough energy and vitamin deficiencies will not be covered by it you still won't sleep if that's the problem. Or something else more extreme like intrusive thoughts etc.
It's likely the more you try to medicate it and not treat the underlying issue, the more of a problem it will become. It may feel like medication is your only route but even that is likely to stop working if you're lucky you will get a few years sometimes less it depends on what it's masking.

My medical thc always works but i’ve started getting bad headaches the following morning so it’s such a catch 22. Lunesta doesn’t work for me as well as it used to. Trying Sonata and seems decent but still giving it a test run not sure if it’s the one. When I take only Sonata I do feel a lot better the next day vs the medical thc.

Have you tried THC/CBN they have new studies that CBN comes from aged THC and helps with sleeping I personally feel like it helps I buy a 1000mg THC Syrup with CBN Pills from the dispensary works amazing take like 100mg of THC then take the CBN Pill or Oral Drops and smoke a bowl as you wait till it all kicks in

My sleep is much worse if I use cannabis products. There is part of me that is stimulated and just unable to settle down.
