I really love playing on coop both on Sandstorm and the 2014 game. Every time I have a lot of fun.

The problem is, 2014 seems to be pretty dead, as days when I can find matches with players are few and far between, so I have to default to Solo mode. The problem is, friendly bots are too incompetent for the matches to be fun. On the Steam workshop I found a mod that makes bots better, but it also made enemy bots smarter, resulting in our entire team getting slaughtered in less than a minute. And taking over friendly bots doesn't help much if the others keep getting killed.

Day of Infamy, another game that's pretty dead, which is really similar to Insurgency, lets you play with a limited number of lives which helps compensate for the incompetence of friendly bots. Does Insirgency 2014 have anything like that?

I’ve never seen a glitch like this before. We are the security forces, but one of my guys appears as an insurgent on my screen. I shoot and kill him but the game registers it in reverse. The game says he shot and killed me. Has this ever happened to anyone before.

anyone else noticing a big issue with servers today via lag or just straight up dumping off the match mid game?

EDIT: Also issues with hit boxes and rounds just phasing through peeps

Couldn't find the Insurgents bots because the server will crash and couldn't be saved to the replays.

Untranslated Insurgent character name string in Russian localization (Voice Customization Settings)

There is an untranslated "Rebel" string in the Voice customization menu for the Insurgents faction . The correct russian translation for this first string is "Повстанец" . PC, Steam version, Operation Breachpoint actual.
Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to the game settings and select the Russian localization .
2. Open the Customize menu (Настроить).
3. Choose the Insurgents faction (Повстанцы).
4. Open the Voice section (Голос).
5. Find the untranslated "Rebel" option in the menu (the first string, before the Наёмник and Оперативник options).

Actual result - the string is not translated on russian localization and maybe others.

Expected result - the string is correctly translated in russian localization and probably others.

Glitched texture on the Rifleman security patch

There's some bugged white texture visible on the background of this patch, making it look glitchy and different from other patches in its category. PC, Steam version, Operation Breachpoint actual.
Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the Customize menu .
2. Select the Security faction .
3. Find the Patches section , then go to Rectangle 2 and select the Rifleman patch .
4. Try it on the character and compare it to other patches in this category.
5. Look at the result: a bugged white texture is visible on the background when the patch is selected and placed on the character model.This bug probably appears on the back as well, not just on the front.

Actual result - the Rifleman security patch has some glitchy white texture on the background and doesn't look the same as other patches in this category because of it.

Expected result - the Rifleman security patch doesn't have any glicthed textures on the background and looks the same as other patches in its category.

The 5v5 community has been slowly healing for the past year or more after we collectively came back last year with tournaments and regular pick up games, but it primarily has been North American players. So, I am making a public call to anyone who enjoys the tense moments in Sandstorm, but wants to play it in an environment with other players that communicate and have more game knowledge to check out the Sandstorm PUG Lounge and Insurgency Community League!

The SPL is where we play "pick up games", otherwise known as PUG's, which are 5v5 games where two captains picked by a Discord bot (highest ranked in the game) pick teams. You then play the map that is voted for in a first to 11, 10 round per side game. We use private servers with a mod for stats and to change the classes. It's a good way to get a feeling for how the game plays in a 5v5 setting. You will be required to have and use microphone, as well as to be able to speak enough English to give basic information. This is PC only as well due to the mods and private servers.

Idk why but the default outfits for the ai in this game just dont work for me, they're all too... bland IMHO. I much prefer their looks in hardcore mode over their "default" outfits

Was playing survival with my buddy and he mentioned earlier that his grenade aim had been off all day on the game. We hole up at the objective and then he throws an absolute melon at the wall trying to grenade the stairwell and killed a teammate 😂😂😂 and yes I had to take a second to gather myself.

This is why I come to PvP. This might be one of the funniest chats I’ve ever been apart of 😂
