There was already a mobile Command and Conquer game. Command and Conquer: Rivals.

And apparently another one I never heard of called Command and Conquer: Legions which already shut down.

Man, Command and Conquer fans just cannot catch a break.

They don't want to make good games because we would buy it and keep playing it.

No it’s because they don’t want to become corrupted by capitalism. Otherwise they’ll need to escape to hehe SPACE!

Advanced wars is better anyways.

The two are completely different genres, not really comparable. You might as well say "Baldur's Gate 3 is better anyways." If people want an RTS, Advanced Wars is a garbage choice... because it's not one.

We did catch one, but it was more an administrative measure than anything new.

Anything that removes risk community-run projects to keep older games up and playable, is a good thing.

The mobile games were a confirmation of my opinion that EA could no longer do anything with the franchise that was any good. Even if they had not cancelled that Generals sequel /reboot (or whatever it would have been) it would have likely been "meh" at best.

They'll acquire a company, spend three years building it then close the studio and lay everyone off and never release the game.
