apparently this honey from Nepal is worth more because it contains a certain toxin... "Mad Honey" or something.

Yes apparently it can get you high right

Depends on the dose, I had an eighth of a teaspoon and after about 45 mins I had a light euphoria, pronounced wobbliness, and a shimmery waving sheen on everything.

Pretty similar to a small dose of acid

How long did it last and was there a noticeable comedown?

u/somebob 10h ago

It lasted about 4 hours I think, I went to sleep as soon as I started feeling normal enough, so I’m not sure how bad the come down is. Had a mild headache when I woke up.

Also the dreams were CRAZY.

Edit to add: the nausea was pretty rough when I first ate it for about 30 minutes

Oof ok. Thanks for the info. Dunno if I‘ll ever get to try it, but now I at least know what to expect.

u/somebob 9h ago

Sure thing. I didn’t expect to do it, honestly, but my hippy elder neighbor surprised me with one day after I did some demo work on his kitchen. Nice surprise

Just remember it is a neurotoxin. Not really a traditional psychedelic. I wouldn't really suggest a high dose to anyone.

Fair point, thanks.

I tried some from two different distributors. Even tried varying doses. Nothing, every time. Lucky you I guess!

That episode gives me anxiety. Well a lot of things do, but this does too.

Greyanotoxins mainly. From Rhododendron pollen.

That guy without helmet has some serious guts🫡🫡

u/DivinityPen 10h ago

Yeah, they must have hit the bees with something to calm 'em down beforehand, right? That's a crazy-ass risk for no discernible reason otherwise.

u/work_of_shart 8h ago

It's not guts, it's stupidity. You can die from bee stings. As for "calming" them. Beekeepers use smokers to make bees lethargic. The CO2 does that, but is no guarantee they'll not attack you when you invade their home.

The way he’s tossing those bees is just plain rude

u/Devel93 10h ago

Absolutely horrible for the bees especially if you throw the queen away, it's a low chance as the wueen is usually next to the brood but pwopoe don't care, the'll cut every last piece of the hive to get that last drop of honey

Favorite ingredients coming out of bugs.

u/Tiffany_Case 10h ago

i honestly didnt know yeet the bees was an option

u/TrustworthyChaos 9h ago

Wait, is this the "mad honey" from Nepal with hallucinogenic properties ? The location of the beehives look similar.

u/sw1ft87ad3 10h ago

How are they helping bees in return?

u/dubblies 10h ago

By not demolishing the dense forest they're living in

u/roasted-duck-lady 10h ago

He wasted so much money while harvesting them ..... I would be so pissed if I were bee. But again, why did we need to eat honey so badly? Leave them alone.

u/pinniped90 10h ago

Honey tastes good?

Somebody else in this thread says this particular honey gets you baked but no idea if that's actually true.

u/Super-Investment-780 7h ago

He yeets the bees
