The goat is trying to get rid of skin parasites.

This is a well documented behavior among goats, and if you ask my two cents, probably why Judaism and Christianity have associate them with demons for a millennia.

Yeah I can't see any evidence aside from people on different social media platforms spewing the same "fact." I think this is an Internet game of telephone where one person suggests it then everyone just agrees it's correct with no proof.

I saw someone else on a different post says their parrot tries to jump into fire all the time, and someone else suggested that a fear of fire isn't necessarily common in the wild because fire itself isn't that common. I think the idea that the goat didn't quite realize what it was getting itself into is far more likely than the parasite thing.

It’s just funny how many people claim it’s “well documented”, which in this case just means “I’ve seen other people say it,”. 

Goats are morons, they do dumb shit constantly.

This video is documentation… If you want a peer reviewed study, I don’t think this is one.
(Probably why I offer my opinion rather than stating it as a fact.) 😂
