Games The only thing holding this game back is the villain selection. Very underwhelming.

Games How should Motive handle the Hulkbuster armor, should it be used for special boss fights, a rampage game mode, allowed in every mission from a point.

Discussion Would you watch a video about the Mk III's creation?
If go through with it, the script would be based on the art book, bts commentary and some observations of my own.
If you're interested, are there any specific topics/aspects you'd like to see covered in the video?

Games Motive Iron Man: Controls/Gameplay Concept
Wooo I’m so excited for this game been thinking up how I want it to play. Looking at the trailer, sadly I don't think it would turn out like this, it is what it is
FLIGHT:
L2/R2: Boots/thrust
L1/R1: Repulsors
X: Boost
O: potentially dodge/roll, air brake
🟥: light attack
🔺: heavy attack
L3/R3: ascend/descend
L: Direction , potentially dodge/roll
One thing I don’t want is a generic flying layout, this might be the biggest ask. L2/R2 would be left/right boot, L1/R1 each repulsor, and you can control all 4 independently. Triggers would control thrust of boots/repulsors with maybe 3 detents (ig on xbox controllers you would just look at hud). So u would be able to yaw by modulating both triggers/bumpers. There would ofc be a greater degree of control, but not just for flying, for air/ground traversal in general. For a speed boost even at 100% maybe tap/hold X. And I want the ability to go supersonic, double tapping X lets you go to speed lvl 2 where you can break sound barrier . Probably should only allow that speed above certain altitude. Was thinking L3/R3 could be ascend/descend and double flick L stick or O Left/Right could be that roll move we saw. Flick back, quick 90^ nose up. I think we should have the ability to quickly rotate the suit and do advanced maneuvers.

I think there can be special landings too. Like when we see the first landing with mark 3 in Ironman . So you would dive directly at the ground, then double tap and hold both bumpers for reverse thrust with repulsors. And this would create a shockwave landing attack, if u mess it up you take dmg. Or for stealth landing you could do a controlled dive without thrusters and use the armor's control flaps/aero to maneuver, then at the right moment fire jets to land more quietly. At the very least, we should be able to move Iron Man midair without any thrust for even further authority.

Imagine L3 for run/jog, but alternating triggers lets you do jet sprint on the ground. Maybe not practical but cool you have ability to do it. Overall I want a high level of control.

COMBAT/GROUND:
X: Jump (tap), auto flight (tap in air), charge jump (hold), jump into flight (X+L2+R2)
O: evade (tap), dodge (LS+O), potentially mix jet controls to cover more distance or use to dash
🟥: Light attack, mix with bumper/triggers to do other attacks
🔺: heavy attack, same as light
Triggers: same
L1/R1: Blast (tap), beam (hold), potentially use other weapons (bumper+🟥/🔺)
Square for light attack, triangle for heavy. There would be all types of combos, attack variations, launchers, etc. O for evasion, X for jump. X could be used for regular jump, hold for charge jump, or jump and tap midair for auto flight/hover. On the ground, triggers allow you to fly but bumpers would be repulsor beams. And you could mix light/heavy with bumper/trigger to do jet assisted attack. Like bumper/square= jet elbow, trigger/square=jet kick. Mixing jet controls with heavy (🔺) could be a dash attack/grab. An energy regen mechanic would be cool. Collect kinetic energy by doing melee to charge up power for certain attacks.
It might be interesting to have an energy management system where you can only do so much to avoid overloading the suit. It would be cool to divert power to a system you want as well.

SUIT MODES:
With that the controls would be pretty full so I’m proposing different suit modes you can change with the D-Pad. Standard mode is the one I was talking about, with full flight maneuverability and some attacking controls . But switching to combat mode, you would have a different control map that leans towards combat. L2: aim, R2: Arm 1 , L1: block/parry R1: Arm 2. There could be more weapon inputs with L2+🔺/🟥/L1.
This mode comes with auto flight and simple controls since you can’t control each booster. So just jump and hover/fly around with joystick using X for power. Melee would be different in this mode without flight controls, but not exactly sure how. Also unsure if there would be more focus on ground or air attacks. This mode would definitely have more ranged attacks. Overall, the idea is like switching stances in Tsushima it would be quick and simple, opening up new combo opportunities.
There could be a third one with special functions like stealth/utility mode or something like that too.
As for customization , maybe you could change button mapping in whatever mode. Potentially having some variants for bumpers: repulsor blast (tap), repulsor beam (hold), weapons bay selection (hold+🔺/🟥). L1 could be tap fire and beam while R1 could be tap fire and secondary weapons, something like that. Or just top to bottom create your own suit load out and control system.
JARVIS:
To increase user friendlyness and cross-functionality, it would be revolutionary to have AI Jarvis. Fortnite did it, I see no reason why they can’t add an AI that can follow commands. “Jarvis fire heat seeking missles” “scan for weaknesses” “divert all power to unibeam” like the possibilities are so much with this. You could give commands without being in the designated mode and other unique stuff too. Does that mean mic is required? Probably not you would just have to do it manually, but having this feature would be a game changer, everyone would copy it.
I hope it's a given that different suits have different play styles. Maybe some are more maneuverable, others are heavier with more weapons and better melee, some are specialist armors, etc. Iron Man has too much in his wheel house to get a generic game he has so many aspects to lean into.
I hope the devs are ambitious and the game has long legs because there's so much potential here.
