General Discussion Umrah tips

Salaam everyone, I’m going umrah for the first time with my family in the first two weeks of December this year. We plan on spending 7 days in medina first then 7 days in mecca, just wanted to know from anyone’s who’s gone if they think that it’s too long? Family has mum dad , me(20) and my 15,12,10,8 year old siblings.

Any recommendations on how to spend the days as well would be appreciated.

Must do in madina:
Pray in rawdah
Visit prophets grave
Pray as many prayers as you can in prophets mosque
Spend time on the rooftop
Visit the cemetery of the martyrs and sahaba
A walk from the prophets mosque to masjid Quba, and pray two rakahs there
Visit mount Uhud and pray in Masjid Sayyid Ash-Shuhada
Explore other parts of the city. Good food and affordable shopping and traditions clothing/jewelry/ perfumes outside of the vicinity of the Holy mosque

In your down time, rather than sleeping or shopping, just hooray extra and read Qurans nd make dua in the prophets mosque pbuh
There’s no place like it
And look up the reciters you will pray behind
They announce them weekly
