We are in Istanbul for the fifth time and just now we encountered police drone for the first time. Is it a new addition to Istanbul police force?

It was flying above Haliç metro station and announcing something in Turkish language. It was kindy spooky given that we didin't understand a word.

Anyone knows what was it about?

Hello! So for a college project I need to watch 3 movies set in Istanbul at least 20-25 years apart in timeframe to understand the city. The city shouldn't be the main point of the movie, but the major scenes of the movie should be preferably set in different parts of the city. So if you know a movie like that, please help a kid out 🥲

The movie can be recent, like it was released in the last 5 years or so, some movie set in the 2000s and one in 90's or 80's.

I would like to ask for your support. On 07-November (Saturday) I will have a full day off in Istanbul and I am looking for a dojo where judo class is available on that day and I as a foreigner could join for an adult class. Our hotel will be near to the Grand Bazaar so that would be my starting point to go and reach the dojo. I am not in a high level (yellow belt from Hungary started a year ago) but I do love this sport and would like to reach the opportunity to learn from Türkish masters and judokas even for one class.

I'm visiting Istanbul in a couple of months and would like to know where is the better match atmosphere, at basketball or football games? I'm currently leaning towards basketball because od euroleague, but would like to know what locals think.

I'm seeing tickets for Galata tower in Turkey for $27 CAD through the travel company Thrillophilia. This is significantly cheaper than the $65 CAD price offered directly through Galata tower website.

The reason I haven't immediately dismissed this as too good to be true is because Thrillophilia has a lot of mostly positive reviews online. What gives? Can anyone share their experience with booking single ticket attractions through this company? Is this legit?

I travel with a bunch of prescription medicines that I need, as well as supplements. They are usually in a day timer pill case. It would take up a lot of space to bring all the prescription bottles. I was able to print up the Rx records from walgreens.

Most countries I go to never ask about them, but this is my first time going to Istanbul.

I know there are no guarantees, but just wondering what others' experience has been bringing their meds through customs in Turkey?

I guess the supplements are the thing I'm most worried about because they don't have markings on them and I don't have the bottles they came in for all of them.

In the near future i'll be visiting. Im looking for a well equipped gym (hack squat, pendulum squat is a massive plus), also preferable one with long opening hours , 24/7 would be great since I dont sleep well at hotels and will probably be awake at odd hours.

I'll be staying at a hotel called Gonen Hotel. I guess I can lend a bike if there is a good gym a little far away
