Another Jellyfish gal! She is the second of the four ive finished, out of ten overall.

Mona is a Pink Meanie. Her traits, appearance, and relationships are based on that of the irl jelly.

Mona is a quintessential mean girl. She's harsh and catty, especially towards Selene(as Pink Meanie's diets are mostly Moon Jellies). Secretly she has a crush on her, but hides it with disdain.

Pink Meanie blooms were recently located in droves in the water near Texas. So Mona is a country girl. She loves rodeos, cringe completions, and showing off her wealth. Her one positive trait is that she cares a lot about safe infrastructure.

To match the jelly visually she is taller than average for a woman, and wears lots of frills and pinks. Shes also curvier as the Pink Meanie is quite round.

Next jelly will be Chhaya, who is a Comb Jelly.

Found this video today and I'm a bit confused. It almost looks like another jelly??? Or is that just a part of its bell? Thanks for any ideas

All over the coast of New Jersey this week. I have never seen this kind in my lifetime here. Can anyone name the species? Its different than a red lions mane which we get sometimes.

This black jellyfish alien kite has so many long tentacles, looks absolutely eerie and cool flying in the sky

i went for a walk on the beach the other day, lots of moon jellyfish had washed up which is normal but i’ve never seen them look like this before. at first i thought they’d maybe just been bashed around by the rocks causing them to rupture/deform, but upon closer inspection i noticed the ‘ruptures’ were intriguing symmetrical patterns protruding from them, does anybody know what/why this is ?

I have been working on 10 characters based on the traits of different species of jellyfish!

I posted the mockups months ago, but now I have finished art/profiles for 4 of the 10.

This is Selene. She is a Moon Jelly. Her traits, appearance, and relationships are based on the actual jellyfish.

Selene is sweet and friendly as Aurelia Aurita have such low sting that humans cant feel it.

She is interested in space since this species is often sent to space.

She is rivals with Mona, my Pink Meanie gal, as Pink Meanie's largely prey on Moon Jellies.

And she is a trans woman, the flowers on her skirt are blue, like a male Moon jelly. I tried purple and pink for the flowers, like females of the species, and it didnt work visually.
