A few years ago I found this picture in a random stickerpack in Telegram. I still didn't find anything about this picture. All I know is:
It's Shigure
The creator of the stickerpack deleted his/her account

I already tried google lens and other by-picture searchers. None of them worked.

I'm not complaining because I do believe that childhood friends are supreme, but is there any explanation behind it? Kinugasa I believe was because she was added sorta early for a reward thing iirc? (Maybe they alluded to her a lot?) but Goto I have no idea (Teased very heavily to the point that she's "Almost like she's been here the whole time"?)

Either way I'm curious.

Some design tidbits to note:

Her ribbon/bow on her right part of her head is partly based off the left radical of the kanji 清 from 清波, as it's called the "Sansui" (Lit. Three Water, used a lot in Kanjis related to water), also one of the reason why her colors are primarily blue.

^ That and also I feel like there's a lack of a primarily blue Yuugumo (Eventho Suzunami, Tamanami, and Hamanami are blue, I felt like they're in the faint/very light blue category. This was purely out of personal bias lmao.

The idea came to me after watching this Star Wars "what if scenario".

Just wanted to say hi to all the teitokus. I finally started playing last month, motivated by the spontaneous thought of "wouldn't it be nice to be a teitoku with hanazuki in my base?".

Learning the ropes while strategizing to achieve that mission before the event ends as a noob was fun and it felt very rewarding when she finally dropped.

After enjoying kancolle through fanart for around ten years meeting the kanmusu through the game felt surreal. It's like meeting someone you've know for years for the first time. I'm rediscovering the characters while falling in love with ship girls I overlooked in the past.

A big thank to those behind the wiki as it would've been too hard to do without it.
