Goon-tech Sub2k
A used tool is a dirty tool… 🫡
Goon tape keeping her my kind of ugly.

Is that a linear comp/blast can on it? If so how are you liking the longer version? I’ve got a short one mounted and it’s pretty nice.

Yeah it’s the KAW XL Slim Linear Comp. It’s 9mm so there’s not really a lot of concussion or recoil to mitigate. But two things that I notice:
First, there is a lot less noise at the firing line. It technically does not reduce actual decibels, but I have sensitive ears and I can shoot this no ears whereas I couldn’t before.
Secondly, the proportions on the sub2k are off in my opinion. This brings it together a bit more.
#2 is the main reason I got it.

Couldn’t agree more. Missing a few things to complete the package but she’s definitely good to go.

What’s missing?

Trigger kit. This is the only thing I really NEED to do. Gets rid of the plastic shoe, plastic trigger guard, and removes the insane amount of creep in the trigger due to the design of the trigger bar.
Carbon steel pin and screw replacement. Since I have to split the clamshell to do the trigger anyway, I’ll do a pin and screw replacement as the factory ones are starting to tarnish and rust.
Flip up rear irons and maybe new front post.

Man,
OG cowboys would've had a heyday with this thing. Lever guns would become a dime a dozen.
