Fire OS 7.3.2.4+ Weird Problems...Anyone Else?

Has anyone else had trouble with their Kindle Fire closing books or not letting you place book marks? This seems to be increasing in frequency. I'll be reading and the book just zaps out and I'm back at the main Kindle Fire home page. When I'm done reading for the night I cannot place a bookmark and when I open the book the next day I'm back at page 1. I'm so sad. This used to be easy to use but lately, nothing but weird irregularities. I did confirm all available updates have been installed. TIA

It's an android tablet at heart go to settings and apps & Notifications, Find Kindle in the list and clear the cache or data for the kindle app and see if it fixes it. Warning clicking "Clear storage" may wipe all your books

I deleted the book and re-downloaded it. That helped. I can place bookmarks now but it still closes the book randomly while I'm reading it. Thankfully each time when I re-open the book it opens to where I was. I'll look into clearing cache/storage. I should have thought of that. Thank you.
