Anyone listen to Carmichael Dave this morning? He mentioned receiving multiple texts from folks around Sacramento that Ben Simmons was dining in Sac last night. He showed the evidence to Jason and Chris, who seemed to believe it was legit based on the evidence.

Does anyone here know whether this was legit or not?

I think this move has long term benefits

You have the higher % playoff teams:

Spurs, Thunder, T-Wolves, Nuggets, Rockets, Trailblazers, Suns

Then you have the rest not as strong or lack depth:

Clippers, Lakers, Kings, Grizzlies, Jazz, Pelicans, Warriors, Mavs

3 open spots outside the top 7 would be up for grabs and in my opinion Kings may have enough depth to take one spot.

Kings have:

Three bigs in Sabonis, Max and Cardwell

Forwards in Keegan, Hunter and Achiuwa

Scoring guards in LaVine, Monk and Acuff

Rotation players with Nique, Plowden and Sharp

My guess Kings will finish 10th in the West under .500

I’m hoping the answer is no because Malik is electric and he makes basketball fun.

BUT Precious is offensively capable (even if a little below Malik’s level) while being a good defender as well. I think it just makes sense that he gets more minutes

He’s a complete offensive engine (we won’t talk about his defense). Sharp looks great too, and unfortunately, Nique disappears.

Probably a long shot but I would love him on the Kings.

Keegan’s PR is absolutely in the dumps right now. Some of it is his fault because his shooting numbers keep declining, and some of it is due to injury last year.

First, if Keegan can stay healthy, he’s already put himself in the running for MIP next season.

Secondly, in the little we saw him play last season, I saw a little more ferocity and leadership. We laugh at it now, but when Deebo said this is Keegan’s team now it actually made sense given the game he just had.

Third, whatever cursed his shooting splits may finally start dissipating. Maybe it was the stink of MB’s coaching style. Maybe it was the horrendous 3p contest performance from Huerter. Maybe it was because he put on weight and his body wasn’t used to it. Whatever the cause, things should start getting better now.

When you look at it, I think the MIP award is Keegan’s to lose

the actual amount is 40 but better late than never
