How Are You Feeling About Your Halloween Purchase?

I've definitely noticed the new 3 wicks burn FAST. I've almost emptied Mummy Marshmallow already. Here are my thoughts on my choices so far.

Mummy Marshmallow - I'm loving this one! The marshmallow isn't overly sweet but it's definitely there and it mellows the Earthiness. Feels almost like a spiritual scent. I didn't get it last year because I heard it was too weak, but I think the 3 wicks have helped with throw.

Vampire's Kiss - I might be alone here, but there's one strong note in this that I just do not like. The top layers of berry are pretty, but then there's a distinct funk that doesn't fit and is hard to ignore. I burn it alongside BBW's Wine Cellar, and that makes it more tolerable but I don't think I'd repurchase. I'm kind of surprised this one was such a reviewer favorite.

Pumpkinhead- Smells as great as last year! That pumpkin + orange vanilla is so unique to my candle collection.

Sisters Three- I've only burned this one a couple times, and I'm liking it so far. You have to love fruity scents to enjoy this, and fortunately I love that strong grape. I'm not sure it has any spooky vibes, though.

Sleepy Hollow - I haven't burned this one yet, but it's smoky and pleasant on cold. It doesn't feel that different from other Kringle incense scents. I'm excited to light it and see which notes come through during the burn.

I'd be curious to hear reviews in the comments about your Halloween haul.

Dear Kringle, More of this, please!

Im still working my way through these "witchy" scents that I scooped up on my very first kringle candle visit.

This years halloween selection seems to have been a bit of a disappointment to a lot of your fans, but honestly this line was incredible and I'd blow even more money i don't need to spend if these re-appeared. Just saying.

To Boo Crew or Not to Boo Crew

Last year many of the Boo Crew candles sold out and there was even time for a restock. This year there have been a lot of bumps in the road so signs point that a restock won't happen. Do you plan to buy when it drops?

My list so far is Good Evening in a 3-wick and Owl's Brew in a 3-wick pending some ambassador reviews.

fog and embers gone for good?

this was my favorite last year and I didn't see it go through the clearance, but it's not anywhere on the kringle site that i can find... did they really just quietly and completely pull this scent from sale? it was such a great blend of sweet and earthy!

Got my Halloween order today...

Got my Halloween candles delivered today. Honestly I was surprised how fast they shipped out, although I think I was one of the very first people to place my order. (Kept refreshing the front page until they showed, then placed my order in about 30 seconds lol.) I got 4 Halloween scents that were new to me, and it was kind of a mixed bag. Haven't burned any yet, but here are my thoughts on cold sniff. From most promising to least -

Graveyard Night - this one was a returning scent, but new to me. I had high hopes for it, despite not finding any great reviews on it (apparently there is an older version of this scent that is different, and a lot of the ambassadors I watched had the older one). Well, yay, I LOVE it. To me, a classic Halloween scent. The caramel-pumpkin mixture reminded of Sleepy Hollow, but whereas as Sleepy Hollow has a more spooky vibe due to the incense note, Graveyard Night is more just classic Halloween. I had heard some people say it was sweet and was worried about that, because mostly I do NOT like sweet scents. Caramel is about the only "sweetness" I can tolerate. Well, on cold, I'm not getting anything super sweet. There's some nice spices in there to balance out the pumpkin and caramel. Can't wait to burn this one in October. I wanted one of the new (to me) pumpkin scents, and I think I picked the right one.

Krampus - definitely a weird one, which is what I wanted and expected from this one. I'm very excited to burn it, even though I'm not even sure if I'll like it. Obviously I hope I like it, but I was happy to get one "weird" one this year and I love the story/myth of Krampus, so for me, if nothing else, this was good for a collector's item. There are just a lot of different scent notes in it but on cold, they seem to all work together...the only one putting me off a little is that vegetable note, which I don't get until the end of a "sniff." It's not a terrible scent, but makes me think of vegetable soup. Which is a weird note to have in the mix. Definitely happy with this candle though, and very curious to burn it.

Vampire's Kiss - another one I had high hopes for, but feeling much less sure about this one. Off the top I get an EXTREMELY strong berry note. And to me, it's a very sweet berry note, which, like I said, I don't really sweet scents. Not only that but I got a bit of a medicinal fruit note in there that reminds me of a cough syrup, which I do NOT like - anything remotely like cough syrup makes me gag. However, I kept huffing and huffing it for several minutes and finally felt like I was starting to smell the oakwood/spice notes, which improved it a bit. I don't get a wine note at all though. I'm kind of disappointed in this scent on cold, but also kind of curious to burn it... we will have to see.

The Raven - the most disappointing, right out of the box. I knew I should have trusted my gut with this one, which was telling me it would be a straight-up cologne scent - YUP. Straight-up cologne. I don't get anything remotely spooky or earthy from it, which is what a lot of ambassadors were saying. Only one ambassador I listened to said that it smelled "not masculine, but like a fresh-smelling man" - which I took to mean it was like a light cologne scent. Should've listened to her, but others kept saying it was spooky and earthy and nature-y. But i have learned over the years that for some reason, people often equate "cologne" scents with nature. I don't know why. To me it's just cologne. I will not be burning this one and hoping I can exchange it for something else. Otherwise, I'll be giving it away to a family member, probably.

I also ordered Cedar Incense from the fall collection, and I'm also on the fence about it. I really want to like it, but I swear there's something creamy/sweetish in there that's throwing me off... looking at the scent notes, I can't figure out what it is. If I put this one in my above ranking, it would probably fall just ahead of Vampire's Kiss - I'm kind of disappointed but hoping I'll like it burning.

Overall, definitely a disappointment after last year, my first year doing a big order from Kringle for Halloween - I got Witches Cauldron, the Conjuring, Sleepy Hollow, Mummy Marshmallow, Haunted Hallows, all which I really loved - also Black Cat and Cabin in the Woods, which I loved less but still liked a lot. Compare to this year, only one scent I really loved straight out of the box, two which I would say were not disappointing. Granted, this is partially because so many returning scents were new to me last year, but still.

Ones I did not order but was on the fence about include Scarecrow, Sisters Three, and Haunted Harvest. I'm still kind of curious about Sisters Three but probably won't order it unless it goes on clearance or something. I might still try Scarecrow. Haunted Harvest sounds like a nice one, but I just keep thinking that I have so many pumpkin spice type scents, I don't need another.

Oh, and I also ordered Haunted Hallows and Sleepy Hollow, which were two I also tried last year. Love those two.

H2's Boo Crew brings more gourmands

Not interested in any of these. I thought so many foodie scents in the first drop might mean we'd get some more conceptual ones in the second drop, to encourage ordering twice. Alas. I'm on eBay looking through all their previous scents--Six Feet Under, Carnage, Bloody Mary, Seven Days, Sinister, Exorcism, etc. I could go on and on. Where were these scents this year? The most Halloween/Horror-coded candle we got was... a Christmas candle.

Halloween Launch Info - Read before Shopping! ๐ŸŽƒ ๐Ÿ‘ป

My Kringle and Halloween Fans - If you are planning on shopping the Halloween launch tomorrow (8/7) at midnight, you might want to read this first. We got an update today that though all Halloween will be available in 3 and 4 wicks, any 4 wicks ordered on launch day will not ship until 8/21 due to a production delay. Kringle has had several "delays" causing havoc in various ways with new launches this year. That's all I will mention on that, but, if I was shopping this release (I still have Halloween from stocking up last year) I would want to know this info. Shop Kringle Halloween Here

She has reviews for The Raven and Hansel's Trail up, too. This is the first I've caught of the ambassadors hauling/reviewing the collection. Anyone else posting yet?

Non-Facebook user here. Does anyone know which ambassadors will be receiving PR and when it's scheduled to go out?

I'd love to hear about the new scents on cold especially Krampus, even though that seems more Christmas.

** This full collection officially launches 7/9 @ 12PM EST. If you are shopping this collection, please use my code TREATS15to save 15%**

๐Ÿค Pumpkin Cashmere: No official Pumpkin note (I was relieved)! This one leans into gourmand spices. But not in a straight cinnamon way - hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove with a faint vanilla and sweet orange note that softens the spices and transfers this blend into what is best described as a fall bakery.

๐Ÿ‚White Pumpkin Sage: Sage, bergamot, basil, and thyme are definitely the main characters. I was overwhelmed by spices and did not get any pumpkin note, but that could be because this candle is just very strong on cold. If you love the scent of refilling your spice cabinet - this one is for you.

๐Ÿชต Incense & Cedar: The scent of a store that has an overwhelming amount of incense - definitely accurately named. This is a smokey, burning incense with woodsy, masculine notes. The cedarwood and Patchouli pull through this authentic, fresh burning incense fragrance.

๐Ÿ Brown Butter Pear: 100% very pear! Pear is definitely the main accord. Sweet, brown sugar butter stays in the background due to the strength of the pear note. Caramel, tonka bean, and vanilla are also mentioned in the official notes, but my nose did not pick any of those notes up.

๐Ÿ” Aspen Ridge: Apple dominates this fragrance with notes of woodsy fir needles right behind it. The spice (not specified which) note mixes with the apple and tree type notes in a way that is not the typical fall sweet apples and spice gourmands. This is NOT a sweet apple, but a very fresh, outdoorsy apple.

๐ŸŠ Orange Ginger Honey Cakes: Orange is a very strong note in candle and body care making. However on cold sniff, I primarily get a floral honey blossom as the dominant note in this one. Ginger is the next scent my nose picked up, then soft orange (not sweet orange). A golden, buttery cake is listed, but my nose must have missed that memo because it was absent to me.

FULL DISCLOSURE: As a long time brand ambassador, this collection was gifted to me in PR by Kringle Candle. I am in no way given any scripts. These are my honest, cold sniff impressions. This collection just landed at my door, and reviews may be updated at a later date while testing/burning. IF you use my code while shopping on Kringlecandle.com, I will earn a very small commission (but you will save more than I earn).
