I have transferred ownership to someone else in the Kyle Discord server

Due to outside stress and mental health issues, I couldn't manage the server anymore, so I gave it to someone else instead of deleting it. It is up to them to decide what to do with it.

People in Kyle are Rude

I made a reddit just for this post. Im so sorry Im not trying to insult the whole population of Kyle but I cant help but notice how rude people are here. I've lived in a lot of austin and surrounding austin areas. I've moved here about 3 months ago, and everywhere I go everyone either is rude, has an attitude, or little to no customer service. Im sure people will see this and think "you must be an unpleasant person", but I have never had this problem anywhere else. I consider myself a polite person, and maybe its me who just sees it as important. The time I've lived here I've only met one person who was kind to me. I dont know maybe Im crazy, or just have gotten bad luck since moving here.

Hey y’all! I’m in the Creekside neighborhood in Kyle and I finally decided to start the little porch bakery I’ve been wanting to do. 🍰

It’s called NPC Bytes, and today is officially my opening day!

Right now I have fresh homemade cake pops available for $3 each or 4 for $10, including Cosmic Brownie, Cookie Monster, and other flavors. Everything is individually packaged and ready to grab.

I’m planning on rotating different homemade treats like:
🍪 Cookies
🤎 Cinnamon rolls
🍌 Mini banana breads
🥧 Mini pies
🍰 And lots more!

Since I’m just getting started, I’d actually love some input from other Kyle locals!! WHAT kind of desserts would make you stop at a little neighborhood porch stand? 👀

The stand is open today until 10 PM or sold out. I’m in Creekside - Ferrule Drive to be exact, and if anyone wants to stop by, just message me and I’ll send you the location! 💕

Also, if you happen to try something, PLEASE let me know what you think. I’m excited to see where this little project goes.

Tool Library?

Does Kyle have a tool library or community tool shed? We have recently moved across the country for work and the rental we find ourselves in just needs a little help but we had to downsize quite a bit to make everything fit, so we are missing a few tools. And not in the immediate position to run and purchase a bunch of new tools. But if there is a tool library, I would happily pay the membership fee to have access to it.

I am livid! Ex Dr Gary Gilcrease Skated On Charges!

I wrote a post about 2 years ago about my whacked out doctor, Dr Gary Gilcrease, Kyle Tx who was busted for DUI and Meth. I just found out he skated on both charges! He lost his medical practice and doesn't have a license right now due to the treatment of another patient for which he didn't follow through on what the Medical Board required. He not only fucked me up for years before I stopped seeing him but for at least a year with the aftermath of his actions! When I told him I was going to stop certain meds he had been prescribing me he literally "LAUGHED IN FACE' and told me to take Ashwagandha vitamins of all things! I'll never forget his face laughing at me is permanently embedded in my brain!

** He not only screwed me up but I have heard from hundreds of patients of the damage he caused them or their elderly parents! The major damage was to people's kidneys especially the elderly. Dr Gilcrease claimed to be an expert in Kidney Disease, Kidneys failing from being Diabetics! He had no specialty training besides being a GP! My heart broke every time I heard their stories! One of my daughter's friend and her whole family use to go to Gilcrease. The Uncle went because he thought he had strep. Gilcrease took one look and said no you don't have strep and filled a perscription of Vicodin for him. Two days later still in pain he went to another doctor who ran a strep test & confirmed he had strep! My daughter's friend/ family had more stories and they all left! He use to prescribe Pain Killers like they were candy!

*** I called Texas Medical Board to see if he could get his license back but the lady I spoke to this time was of zero help! So I will keep moving forward to see what I can do.

*** The front brick business facade that listed all business inside the building took his name off, locked his office and confiscated his office furnishings. I'm going to go by there and hang a temporary sign where his name was and say "So Long, Farewell and Good Riddance!" Then I'm going to take a photo of me laughing with a sign in my hand saying "Feeling Blue Gary GilcreaseTake Some Ashwagandha heard itskez you feel better!"

*** I know it not mature of me however with what this drugged out so called doctor who ran a Pop Up Drug Shop did to me. I want him to know I survived without him but he cannot say the same thing about himself!

Moving/Schools

Moving into the 6 creeks community in a few weeks and my youngest is zoned for Cullen Elementary. I know it’s a relatively new school, but any feedback on it yet? Originally thought she was going to Negley until I saw the Hays CISD zoning. Thanks in advance.

Places to run?

Hi everyone I’m new to Kyle and I live near Kohler’s Crossing. I’m looking for some places to run, I am a young female so I would prefer something a bit more out in the open! Thanks!

Mary Kyle Hartson, who was elected as the Mayor of Kyle, Hays County, in 1937 at the age of 72. The town was named for her father, Fergus Kyle, who along with his wife Anna, and Anna's family, deeded 200 acres for a townsite to the International-Great Northern Railroad on July 24th, 1880.

Support for a family friend

Hey y'all, I just found out that a family friend of ours is currently in the ICU after a motorcycle accident. Apparently the damage was so bad they had to amputate one of his legs. If anyone has anything they could spare to help him and his family recover, I'd be grateful. This man was a pivotal part of my childhood, he is the one who taught me what a LAN party was and how to set one up. Please consider donating, thank you.
