Is there any way to tell the rarity or if they're worth anything? There's about 400 cards here. I can post pics.

LR5 Tennessee River Gold T Shirt Collection

Hey Guys

Years ago I got an LR5 T shirt from the thrift store. It became my favorite shirt. Since then I have checked ebay here and there for others like it. I have seen some pop up. The one I have says "Only the darkest knowledge can save the empire now and I am ready to pay its price". I have seen others of a similar design. Mine doesnt have a tag but they seem to have been made by Tennessee River back in 1995-1996. Aside from trying to buy more of these shirts, I'm looking to see if anyone knows how many shirts are in the collection. Currently I know there is:

(This is what is said on the back)

  1. Mine stated above
  2. You call me a masterless man...
  3. Your magic cannot save you...
  4. Those who stand alone fall alone (not sure if this is tennessee river or not)

Im guessing there are many more but its hard to find info on them

If anyone knows anything please let me know. Thanks!

RPG Which 3e books are worth it?

As I'm (re)building my 1e library, I keep running across fairly cheap 3e books. In general, I find the old 3e books to be much cheaper than their 4e counterparts. The game I run is a 3e/4e hybrid, with a few things borrowed from 5e, and running mostly 1e/2e adventure modules that I've adjusted.

My question is, which 3e sourcebooks out there, if any, do people find useful? I've noticed a lot of them are timeline specific, like the Four Winds era book, etc. I don't know if the timeline at my table will have anything like the Four Winds in it. Is there still stuff in that book that would be useful, or should I skip it entirely?

RPG [5E] Kakita Duelist: How to make them actually good?

I am thinking of building a Kakita Duelist forna Game, but they seem to be terrible at dueling. No access to any strife management in curriculum, a School ability that does not help win a duel... Am I kissing something? I suppose you could take the standard Courtier's Resolve and Mind's Edge, but what else?

LCG Deck building and buying advice

There’s one thing that has always bothered me: having l5r lcg between my boardgames but never playing it, and I would love to, so I decided it would have been time to change that. So I have a 3x core box and Children of the Empire expansion. It would be very rare to play 1vs1 (main reason why it was never played) but I looked around a bit and saw the enlightenment format and eventually team conquest for a 1vs1vs1vs1 or 2vs2 games. Me and my group (3/4p) are pretty used to boardgame and card games in general so I would like to build some already good and “advanced” decks for us to play. I remember back in the day (2019ish) reading that a 3x core was nearly essential and Children of the Empire was a very good expansion with lots of content for deck building (managed to get them for very low prices at the time). Would it be possibile for us to build some nice decks with what I have for the multiplayer formats above? Would at least the 7 clans packs be needed to have more consistent builds? I can see you suggesting to just go for builds with what I have before buying more and to see if we will enjoy it enough and we will absolutely do that but I’m curious to look for some suggestions on what are considered to be the packs and expansion needed for a more consistent and advanced experience without necessarily having to get them all (at least for now). Thanks in advance!

My friend finally decided to make it public on Inkarnate! There is just one very sad caveat, since he uploaded the pictures of clan's mon's himself inkarnate wont allow it to be published, so we are making a (worse) copyright friendly version public.

Since there were people who were asking to buy it before he is accepting any donations to the paypal "[donationsrokuganmap@outlook.com](mailto:donationsrokuganmap@outlook.com)"

“The Price of War” by Mari Murdock was originally released in 2017 to celebrate the release of Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game from Fantasy Flight Games.

After almost ten years, we are proud to re-release the short story, now featuring narration by Heather Jinmaku, Musician and available on the Aconyte Fiction podcast.

4e L5R Solo Play

Hello all,

I've been exploring solo ttrpg play recently through DnD and the Obvious Mimic modules. It got me wondering if there is an solo play modules for L5R?

I've only ever played 4e so that would be my main interest but if there are other versions out there that are reasonably accessible I'd be open to trying them.

RPG Opposition between Bushido and Shourido

Hello Samurai!

First of all, english is not my native language. So, if this post contains some mistakes, I'm sorry!

So, I have one question.

Do the virtues of Bushido have an exact opposite in the virtues of Shourido?

For example, is Will the opposite of Sincerity or another virtue of Bushido?

I'm building a campaign for my best friend (alone). He will face against some samurai who rejected one virtue of Bushido for a virtue of Shourido. This is why I need to know if there are some oppositions between Bushido and Shourido.

Thanks for reading me.

Let the kami guide your way!

Is anyone out there 👀?

First time poster, L5R the LCG was my favourite card game I've ever played. I've got everything printed apart form the illusive and now prohibitively expensive fu lengs shadow box.

My question is, is there still a live scene in the UK? Does anyone still meet up and play in person?

Haven't played hardly since they discontinued it, ran out of people to play. Everyone moved on, or, well, just plain moved away ha.

CCG [Onyx Lives! Project] Rules changes previews for Three Dynasties

It's been a while since I've attempted to post regarding the OLP on Reddit; auto-moderation by the site removes any posts with links to two of our primary means of communicating with players. Feel free to DM me here or at the same username on Discord to request more direct links to our content.

The Onyx Lives! Project is preparing to release our next online base set, Three Dynasties, this fall. The set will usher in a new play environment, resetting the card pool from its current Shattered Empire arc. The storyline will advance as well, jumping about 15 years forward. We have just started to reveal some of the changes involved in the environment, as can be seen here:

We hope that folks who are interested will check us out -- our third annual in-person tournament at GenCon drew in ten players this year; not a huge turnout but still not bad for a fan continuation of a legacy CCG. Our online community continues to grow, and our card pool is available for print-and-play at the Oracle of the Void site.

Three Dynasties will be a great place for players new to our work at the Onyx Lives! Project to jump on.

RPG Continuation of the Lore

Hi guys, I have a big question: what happened after the year 1200, following the destruction of the Empire, the exile, the colonies, and all the lore that was there? Was it continued in any way?

Does anybody have pictures of all the Clan Ribbons you could win at the games of Gunsen? Saw a couple, curious what quotes they put on each of them.

[4E] any Foundry modules, particularly anything for combat?

Hello all!

Now that 4E is being actively supported on Foundry, and the compendiums are filled, I'm hoping to get some friends together for some throwdowns!

If any of you have been playing on Foundry recently, I'm looking for any modules that any of you may have come across in the last few years.

Especially a combat HUD; with the skills, spells, techniques and the like, I'm hoping that some ease of use would be available at this point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
