From the official statement:

"All persons set to appear in criminal or traffic court in Lafayette Parish between March 30 and April 9, 2020 are to utilize the drive through system at the Lafayette Parish Courthouse to be served with a new court date beginning of Friday, March 20 2020."

My court date falls within this criteria and I was told, when I called a couple weeks ago, that I must appear.

If anyone uses this "drive through system" in the coming weeks would comment on their experience, that would be great!
