4 rows short?

I picked up this kit from Amazon and I'm running across a problem the pattern has about 68 rows down but the pillowcase only counts 66 I have no idea how to solve this do I delete rows and columns? I really don't want to end up with a crooked image on the pillow lol

It doesn't look like there's a lot going on with the bottom of the pattern, so I would just skip a couple rows at the bottom. I don't think you'll even notice when it's done. 😄

Also I usually start from the bottom as its easier for me to go row by row unless thats not how its done loll

Ah, that's annoying. I think latch hook in general is pretty forgiving because it's flexible, though. Good luck! It looks like a cute pattern.

This is my 3rd ish project. Im almost done with this unicorn I ran out of light pink yarn so had to go with A close match. Also the original purple yarn that came with it was thrown out accidentally so I found a glittering yarn that worked. I kit bash when I need too lol

I did a Dr. Who pillow like this. The outside edging is not sewed on exactly straight. What I did was drop off 1 row each from each side, which, like yours, is almost all just background colors. Also, USE THE PATTERN, not the picture painted on the pillow. It didn't throw off the symmetry at all. Also, as has been mentioned, latch hook is Very forgiving. Have fun, this is a really cute pattern.

It’s relatively common with these kits from Amazon it seems. I’ve bought a few and there’s usually some deviation in the print.

What I tend to do is count out the 10 x 10 blocks and mark them with a marker and follow the pattern that way, adjusting for any rows that are off. I recently had a space themed one that I basically had to remove the bottom four rows because of this very issue though they were basically just negative space tbh

I’ve also grown to dislike preprints because they’re usually way off pattern. While even the pattern says it follow the paper instructions, it’s still kinda annoying ngl

Sometimes the left & right sides are not even. Be careful with that. I'm doing one now & it's like that. Pay attention also to the pattern.
