I know most of the necessary domain vocabulary, but because I’m not using these formal terms in daily conversation, putting sentences together on the fly feels like a massive hurdle.

Has anyone here successfully made the jump from conversational to high-level business Thai? What specific strategies, routines, or resources helped you speak naturally during presentations?

In Thai, ลง (long, pronounced with a mid tone) primarily means "down", "to descend", or "to decrease." However, its exact translation depends heavily on how it is used in a sentence:

1. Main Action / Verb

To descend / get off:
ลงรถ (long rot) = to get off a car/bus
ลงบันได (long ban-dai) = to go down the stairs

To decrease / drop:
น้ำหนักลง (nam-nak long) = weight decreased / weight loss
ราคาลดลง (raa-khaa lot long) = price dropped

To register / sign up / install:
ลงทะเบียน (long ta-bian) = to register / sign up
ลงเรียน (long rian) = to enroll in a class
ลงโปรแกรม (long pro-gram) = to install a program/app

To apply or post:
ลงรูป (long roop) = to post a photo (on social media)
ลงสี (long see) = to color / apply paint

2. Auxiliary Verb / Directional Particle
