Hi, I usually use Little Trees. I apply about 3-4, then I add another after a week. The car does smell clean and fresh for about three days. If I roll down the window for a minute, there goes the scent.

I also have three dogs I take on a walk everyday meaning they get on the car with dirt and their paws wet, which probably overcomes the Little Trees scent. They have their own seat cover I wash every week.

Any hacks to have a concentrated scent and doesn’t completely disappear when rolling down the windows? Thanks

My dryer was working ok, but it kept saying my lint trap was clogged when it wasn’t. Turned my shower on and scrubbed the trap of all the dryer sheet residue that was stuck to the screen that impacted the air flow of the dryer. It is amazing how just a little debris can impact the flow of air in the dryer/ exhaust. Just for clarification my vent lines are clean. After cleaning the trap, the error has not occurred.

I recently bought some candles, and accidentally left one in my car. The past week everytime i open it there is a light aroma of lemon and nothing else, i figure the wax is melting a little bit when it gets hot out and freshening the air, seems like a cheap way to keep the car fresh without buying a new pack of little trees every other week.

edit: Do you guys just buy loose wax I thought all candles came in some kind of jar/container 😭

I’m probably over thinking this. I’m 23, I have 4 cats. My parents have 3 dogs. I moved out 5 years ago however I have an amazing relationship with my parents. They want to move 12ish hours away. They’re allowing me to stay with them with the cats for a while until I can get my own place (we have jobs lined up). Ideally they’re looking for an “in-law suit” type deal so the cats and I still have “our own” space. But HOWWW do I move that far with four cats!?!?? I’ve already talked my parents into letting me drive my car by myself to keep the cats calm and separate from the dogs… I worry that the dogs and new environment are going to stress them out. 3 of them have never been around dogs and 1 of them isn’t too fond of dogs. Do I leave a litter box in the car for the cats? Is in the carrier or out/open better for such a long drive? Should I start conditioning them and bringing all four in the car for little rides? Do I start bringing the dogs over to get the kitties used to the noise?? Do I get sedatives from the vet for the ride🤣? I drive a Kia, I can fold the seats down and have the whole back + trunk space for the cats. People say cats don’t need to go in the car but is that just because they don’t have the option?? Because they know to go in the litter?? So if I put the mini litter box in the trunk is that a good or bad idea?? I just can’t see them NOT having to go for twelve whole hours. Especially because I plan to give them water and a food break because with 3 separate vehicles + 3 dogs this definitely isn’t going to be a straight through trip.

i have to wear this shirt for work and it technically fits, but when i lift my arms, the shirt lifts with me and doesn’t settle back down. can i use hair conditioner and warm water to manually stretch it out when it’s 65% polyester or will it just revert?

This has helped me solve the "what if I need to wear this somewhere" question that makes me prone to hanging onto things.

About a month ago I was at the gas station and I realized I overfilled my gas can and a bit leaked into my trunks carpet.

I have aired out my car for hours, washed the area down with hot water and dawn dish soap and used baking soda and let it sit. It temporarily makes it better, but it seems to come back especially with the AC sometimes.

Does anyone have any advice for this? Google told me to let the car air for 24 hours and leave the baking soda that long but I can’t leave my car that long. On top of it, I have to close my garage at night so I can’t let it completely air out.

Hello everyone,

I used to put a piece of tape around wrapping paper after using it, but it always left a mark or damaged the paper when I removed it.

Now I just use binder clips on the ends of the roll. They hold the paper in place without damaging it, and I can easily remove them when I need to use the paper again.

Such a simple thing, but it makes storing wrapping paper much easier.

Used some acrylic drawer sets from Target ❤️ they’re on sale rn this was the full depth 2 drawer one the drawers also double as stackable containers so turned them upside down & stacked for my smaller plants, the outer shell I turned vertically and hung over my larger plants. The “bottom” of the outer shell is almost completely open but I just faced the opening to the window & cats can’t get inside it ❤️

Also ik my plants look like 💩 rn every single new leaf was getting chomped off 😂 they’ll recover.

I’ve a bunch of hair oils/sprays and skin moisturizers that have been opened but used like once or twice. Any tips for what I can do with these other than just throwing them away?

I have two dogs. Honestly, the vacuuming isn’t even the annoying part. Every few days, I have to flip the vacuum over, cut away all the hair wrapped around the brush, and clean everything out. Sometimes I think I spend almost as much time maintaining the vacuum as I do actually cleaning the floors.
My current vacuum works fine, but dealing with tangled hair has become the biggest frustration. I’ve tried cleaning the brush more often and removing hair before vacuuming, but it still feels like a never-ending battle. I’ve also been looking into newer robot vacuum designs with anti-tangle features, but I’m not sure what works in real life. Any tricks to prevent hair from wrapping around vacuum brushes? Are there any tools or cleaning routines that make this easier?

The other day, walking to my car during a rainstorm, I got in my car, plugged in my IPhone and got the “Liquid Detected” message. I was to advise unplugging my phone and that it may take hours for the port to sufficiently dry. In order to speed up the drying process, I place my iphone and the cable between the vents and turned on the AC for 10 minutes or so. Plugged the IPhone back in and the issue had resolved.

This has been one of the most amazing life hacks I've come across. When I was pregnant, my partner and I were buying the newborn bath tub. The topic of how to make sure the water temperature wasn't too cold or too hot came up. We saw there are things like rubber ducks that have built in temperature checkers on them for this. But then my partner makes a joke and says "Lets just cook her with a sous vide" we giggled and then both of us looked at each other and realized that actually using a Sous Vide to warm the water up to the perfect temperature before putting the her in the tub, wasn't a bad idea. So we purchased one and omg it made bath time perfect for our daughter when she was a newborn.

Just wanted to share this cause it helped a lot. That newborn stage can be rough with them trying to transition to different temperatures outside the womb.

Had to have the fan unit replaced on my double oven for $500 dollars. The repairman explained it happens all the time if you use the self cleaning mode. Companies know it'll survive the warranty period but the much higher heat will degrade everything much quicker.

He called it the "self destruct mode".

Makes for easier maintenance. Noticed how the recessed screw holes fill up with dirt, dust, and small bits of grass, and it's not easy to clean it out?

Using soft ear plugs in the recesses will keep the gunk from accumulating. Clean the recesses out so you can see the screw or bolt. Take a soft ear plug (use for hearing protection), and squeeze it down so it'll fit into the recesses and insert into the recess. It'll expand to fill in the recess and keep the gunk out.

Use a small screwdriver or needle nose pliers to remove the plug. The plug can be reused.

Oil stains (or other car fluids) on your driveway? Watch the forecast for a day when it’s almost certainly going to rain and put Dawn dish soap on the spots and let the rain wash it away. No scrubbing. No special product. No mess to clean up.

Grease stains on your clothes? Dawn dish soap as a pre-treatment. Put it on, rub it in a little. Throw it in the laundry bin and wash it on washing day.

Dawn takes grease out of your way.

I bought a treadmill mill like the small ones that you can put under a desk. Anyways I got it off Facebook market place and oh man it reals like cigarettes smoke. I wiped it down 3 times with disinfectant wipes. Anything that lays ontop of it like of a pillow falls and I dont notice then that reeks of cigarettes. How. Do I get rid of this smell. I dont even smoke so the smell isnt too crazy but at some points the room just smells of cigs

So a while ago our dishwasher started smelling like this. It made the dishes smell like this too. We cleaned the filter and put more salt and did an empty wash with one of those liquids you put upside down (We do this clean up every two months). And we always have one of those finish deos/fresheners. The smell went away but has come back again after a month. Anyone has had the same experience? Any soloutions? (And we always clean the too oily pans a little before putting them in the machine so no oil is inside)

I’ve noticed that every time I dry my towels in the dryer they come out smelling like mildew? even tho they’re completely clean. it’s raining today so I don’t have a choice but to use the dryer, any suggestions? is it because I don’t dry it for long enough? or the settings not hot enough??,

I got these sick high tops from good will and only noticed when i got home that the inside of the shoes stink. Does anyone have any tips to get the smell out? i’ve tried baking soda and charcoal pouches but nothing seems to be working.
