Who knew water could make them even cuter?

Does anyone have any experience of budgies and linnies? My budgie is a year and 4 months and the linnie is a boy and is now 14 weeks.

I have read that linnies can get hand-shy or hormonal after a few months or years and although the budgie is bolder now, I believe that the linnie can physically hurt the budgie more. Any experience is much appreciated. 💜💚🕊️

My linnie has been scared by various human things (I needed to grab him to untangle him from a string once and my grandmother was frequently pushy with him when he was scared)

When I get his friend will they learn to be afraid of humans from my linnie’s behaviour or are they less easily influenced

We will do DNA test in 2 weeks but I'm super curious. Your guesses?

Is he alleviating pain or just being weird

I like to read actual paper books in bed before sleeping (save my brain from too much screen time!) so I was thinking of trying to find a nice Linnie book that I could page through casually.

I found this book on Amazon but the cover looked suspiciously like AI. When I then looked at the author page for this guy "Donald Regina" (probably a pseudonym) ( https://www.amazon.com/stores/DONALD-REGINA/author/B0GCNJFBJJ ) he has a million books all about different pet species. Omg, the AI slop is horrible and taking over everything.

I almost want to buy one just so that I can write a review saying it's total AI slop!!!

I found another book on Walmart that is similar AI slop by a "Logan O.D. Morgan" who also has a million books about random pets. Definitely AI. How could this guy be an expert on all of these different animals? It's terrible.

Is it okay for me to do them back or is it an angry noise which he’ll take offence to??

I have previously mainly had our vet trim the nails, or the groomer. However, I'm considering trying to do it myself mainly due to costs and convenience (groomer is far away).

I used to trim my cockatiel's nails (years and years ago, he's since passed) but they seemed much larger footed and easier to work with for some reason.

• Curious if other linnie parents trim their birb's nails, or if you have a groomer/vet do it?
• And, if you have the groomer do it, about how much do you pay per trim?

Hey yall!

Just curious if any of you have safely and successfully incorporated any live pants into your birds’ homes?

I know some common “bird safe” plants that come up in a google search. I also understand the importance of organic soil, washing the plants and just being really sure there’s no pesticides.

I’m installing a happy bird full spectrum LED in their cage soon and with the window placement their cage could support some Boston ferns.

Just curious if any of you guys have experience/ if it’s a nice thought but too impractical?

Before anyone asks, no he doesn't have any cognitive or physical deficiencies, mental disabilities, ballance issues, or physical deformities. He just gets really excited about vent fans.

While my girl is overall still pretty hand shy, this is something that she does almost everyday where she will sit on the arm of my chair and run over and just kind of plop herself into my hand and let me hold her. But if my fingers get too close to her face she bites them... It seems to make her really happy but I wanted to no if this is something that I shouldn't be doing or if anybody else's bird does this
