Third Pick, Yellow Belt
Movin' on up, as the song says.
Gave up n the Master Lock No 7 for a bit. Figured I'd try my hand at the 140 for my Yellow Belt. Only took a couple of tries and it popped right open. Also first time trying the 3D pRinted vise, as the SmallRig clamp showed up yesterday.
Still using BOK as my first few attempts at TOK weren't successful. Need more work on that.

Nice job! You will find TOK very helpful as you work up. I really like CI Ergo Turners and Jimy Longs padlock tension tools.

Thanks! I have JimyLongs picks and tools as my only sets at the moment - I am planning on checking out some alternate turners.

Excellent work! TOK will feel weird for quite a while, but don't give up on it! I use it almost exclusively now.
Any thoughts on what's next?

Thanks! Not sure - would like to open that stubborn No 7.
I have a 72/40 that’s guttable - not sure you can use the same belt for orange and green. I have a a Master lock LOTO and a few American 1100s coming from eBay. In the meantime, I need to work on feedback. I can pretty consistently open a No 1, No 3, and the 140 pretty quickly. But still not dialed in on the feeling and hearing.

And you're already using a vice! I didn't get one until I went for green. I still hardly use it unless I'm filming.

Yeah - I printed it thinking it would be handy to have. My hands can cramp up fairly easily sometimes so I figured I’d try it out. It worked really well, but I still prefer hand holding the locks. Will definitely come in handy for filming.

Congrats on your yellow belt! I just got my yellow by picking the same lock.
