I actually think it looks sick. It’s true, the direction of the angles sort of makes it look like the movement is going in the wrong direction, but it’s a momentary issue and in terms of durability, this could work for someone long term. It’s kinda sick

I think it works better this way as well. I feel like if you reverse the angle, it’ll look too “on the nose” and is expected. This angle gives it some aggression (vs speed, for example)… a spiky plane would be deadly! ha ha

Interesting design but the orientation of the angles makes it look like it's flying backwards (to me)

Or falling out of the sky.

This is a smart comment.

I had the opposite thought. The angles are like the nose cone of the plane pointing in the direction the plane is going.

I’m with you. Speed streaks should go backwards. He has that jet in reverse.

u/GreaseSlitherspoon 1d ago

Same here it’s kind of reading like a anvil or an anchor falling down and to the left

2

u/_lippykid 1d ago

Same.. yet I still like it. Maybe because of that reason, not the obvious choice

2

u/niccolololo 17h ago

Same here

u/thewayofdan 1d ago

Is it reversing?

I see a solar storm.

5

u/dolphins2383 1d ago

Was going to say the same but opposite - meteor hitting a planet. I like it though.

6

u/ChickyBoys where’s the brief? 1d ago

The angles of the lines should go the other way

u/Skaraban 1d ago

hell yeah

Interesting. I'd suggest trying to flip the orientation so it gives it the correct sense of direction. I don't think it's a definite deal breaker, but it is a little momentarily dissonante.

Wow!

A lot of people have the same opinion.

I see it exactly how you intended it to be seen. I understand what they're saying, but that's still not an issue for me.

u/meIpno 17h ago

Lot of ppl memtion the direction thing, I don't see it but you could reverse it and instead of triangles have a "tie" shape

Off to a good start but a lot of these submissions is just the mark or icon and not the full logo. Show how these things live together and how you can incorporate that design into the brand look

1

u/HiddenHorse925 1d ago

Very cool, but what does this relate to? I cannot evaluate an icon (because this isn’t yet a logo) unless I know what it is for, how it will be used.

u/BryanTheBeeIsSilent 1d ago

You don’t need to reorient the angles per say, just taper the back end and it should solve the visual effect.

u/Fair_Oven5645 1d ago

Not bad!

1

u/edimaudo 1d ago

i can see vampire teeth lol

1

u/Obvious-Display-6139 1d ago

Obviously the motion is backwards since the pointy ends are in the front. Besides that it's an ok logo with an unoriginal idea/concept.

1

u/----NPC---- 1d ago

I like it, it looks very fast.

1

u/DisastrousChange7384 1d ago

Might I suggest simply redirect the tapering the other direction? I think it would give some more realism and liftoff. Other than that I thinks great

cjet image could be stronger, me with my sci fi mind saw 2 planets with a energy wave :P

u/lilyebanks 1d ago

Throw it in reverse Terry!

u/Few_Youth3584 19h ago

looks like a face to me

1

u/ScreechUrkelle 18h ago

Looks more like a hammerhead swimming against the current.

Flip the triangles to get a jet image

1

u/ApolloGR3 4h ago

What about adding 2 opposing afterburner flames in a similar shape shooting out to reorient those who see it flying backwards? Crude microsoft paint drawing attached.

u/juzdeau 45m ago

First thing I saw was two circles (one on top of the other) in negative space.

1

u/Proud900 1d ago

Where is the idea? 😕

u/SpeechWeird5267 1d ago

I like it as a generic design.

It has to be associated with a company for it to become iconic.

u/TruamaTeam 1d ago edited 1d ago

I like it, maybe needs more shape in the centre

-2

u/ButIfYouThink 1d ago

How do you know? What is the logo for? How will it be used? Where will it appear? What does the company/organization do?

4

u/el_paro 1d ago

you don’t need the whole story for some optical balance, do you?

3

u/TruamaTeam 1d ago

I’m sorry? Just feels a bit weird in the centre

-5

u/ButIfYouThink 1d ago

And?

Youre getting downvoted but it's a valid question. It's just a picture of a jet using simple shapes. Could also have been a face apple fish guitar eye dog cat puddle chair lotion perfume thermometer bananas ipod candy wrapper phone tv chocolate mop ring white out screw deodorant outlet book mouse pad stop sign clock playing card washing machine clothes seat belt boom box credit card drawer sidewalk thread tomato canvas video games wagon packing peanuts mirror toilet leg warmers USB drive glass twezzers bracelet air freshener lamp shade spring doll floor model car toe ring balloon sandal nail clippers money controller rug shawl conditioner tree twister food bed television sand paper wallet bow truck slipper capibara cork monitor car teddies plate grid paper lip gloss shoes eraser lamp helmet socks picture frame hair brush hanger knife blanket table bottle street lights magnet flag key chain watch glasses paper rusty nail brocolli shoe lace thermostat pencil coasters beef sharpie remote soy sauce packet stockings drill press charger house sun glasses photo album spoon paint brush towel sticky note zipper keyboard bookmark pillow newspaper ice cube tray bread cookie jar greeting card needle soap clamp tissue box cup sketch pad sailboat blouse glow stick cinder block toothbrush clay pot lace piano vase sponge toothpaste plastic fork buckle purse bowl nail file camera button two cats carrots water bottle door fork desk window fake flowers tire swing flowers rubber band bag speakers soda can box cell phone chapter book pen chalk sofa rubber duck shampoo tooth picks milk hair tie computer candle fridge checkbook shirt face wash eye liner shovel pants scotch tape couch mp3 player pool stick headphones CD keys bottle cap or a radio.

He did point out it is supposed to be a jet.

I guess what I'm tiring of are these post and runs. They didn't explain anything about the logo, who it is for, what industry, how it will be used, where it will be used, whether they are looking for feedback, of it's just to show off a logo they did for a brand, etc. just post. And run.

Notice OP did not come back and respond at all. Dozens of comments and not one response. This is basically just throwing shit at a wall and seeing if anyone notices the smell. Are they claiming authorship? Or is this a logo they think is good and they want to gauge other designer responses?

This kind of post should not be allowed here. It's lazy and frankly I suspect they are using this forum as a way of advertising their services without saying so. They've probably posted this in exactly the same way across multiple platforms. A zero energy post that gets members here to waste their time and energy for what could basically just be bullshit. But we'll never know.

Kinda reminds me of the Disney castle logo
